Now calling for "civility"... The tragedy in AZ had nothing to do with politics, or the tone of the debate in this country, or a lack of civility in politics-- but as long as we're blaming people for things they can't possibly be responsible for and calling for censorship, perhaps some Democrats and progressive power players could start, "BEING the change they want to see in the world"... forums.hannity.com/showthread.php?p=85282381"That Scott down there that's running for governor of Florida," Mr. Kanjorski said. "Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him. He stole billions of dollars from the United States government and he's running for governor of Florida. He's a millionaire and a billionaire. He's no hero. He's a damn crook. It's just we don't prosecute big crooks."now he says.. "We all lose an element of freedom when security considerations distance public officials from the people. Therefore, it is incumbent on all Americans to create an atmosphere of civility and respect in which political discourse can flow freely, without fear of violent confrontation."

BOTH sides need to tone it down. Enough is enough with the calls for violence from ANYONE.

Even Hannity's buddy Dick Morris said Rick Scott belongs in jail.On the same day that former presidential candidate Mitt Romney joined Rick Scott to stump in The Villages, conservative political strategist and author Dick Morris had this to say at a Republican event in Orlando. "I think Rick Scott is a criminal who belongs in jail not in the governor's office." Morris went on to say that he'd vote for the Democrat Alex Sink. "She's a terrible candidate... her opponent is a criminal," he said. "The only way that this guy is qualified to be governor is that he's very experienced -- he stole from the taxpayers once, so he's really experienced, and he'll steal from them again." www.gop12.com/2010/10/morris-rick-scott-belongs-in-jail.html

I am - Palin's map was identified in every publication as a little older, and also that it was yanked over the weekend. nothing in this OP indicated that the information was old, which I found by doing a quick search. too many people react without looking into things.

"So was Palin's map. Be fair." The Democrats used a similar map with bullseyes over the districts they were targeting. Getting upset over such is just PC crap ~ attempts to control dialogue by limiting speech. Such maps are harmless as are terms like "targeting" and "taking down." I have to agree on the Fla Gov race. I'm a long time conservative Republican and even I voted for Sink [who lost anyway]. Now that Scott is Governor, I'm in favor of letting him prove himself ~ or not.

Attempts to control speech? Asking people to be civil and admonishing people for not being civil is a VERY far cry from forcing them to be civil.. like Brewer just did by signing a law outlying protests for two hours surrounding funerals.

Funny. I guess you're referring to the one with little archery targets on it? There are MAJOR differences, including the Palin rifle scope crosshairs and RELOAD rhetoric.

Wait... they're equating sniper cross-hairs to archery targets???
Yes, because dudes with bows and arrows are so terrifying.

Didn't know you were a Floridian too. It should be a interesting two years Safe..from what I understand the moderate Republicans ..who at times would cross over and vote with the Democrats on certain issues, to me extreme issues , and be a sort of buffer for extreme legislation, are no longer there. Either out by term limits or beaten in the primaries by much more conservative legislatures ...Democrats have absolutly no influence at all, they really could save the state gas and overnight money and stay home for as much influrnce they will have on legislation, and the Governor is also of the same, very conservative , so the Republicans have cart blache to do what they want. I went for Sink too.. it should , as I said, be a intersting two years.

Actaully Loopdilou people with bows and arrows are more skilled....... No scope on a Bow..... The targets are just that targets, they are used for both target shooting with bows and guns.......

One arrow can take down a 10 point buck. And it's quiet. A good archer can take out a couple deer before the others even realize what's happening or where the threat is even coming from.

Cross hair sights and scopes are very common on bows these days especially now that some states have setup cross bow seasons. PSE actually makes a cross bow that mounts on an AR-15 frame with claimed accuracy up to 100 yards with bolt speeds over 300 feet per second. It's pretty impressive but expensive. And in response to the topic. I would have to view suggesting targeting and killing an opponent the same whether it be with an arrow or bullet. Anytime I have shot a deer with a bow it's just as dead as when I shot it with a gun.

There are MAJOR differences, Of course there are. The "target" symbols used by the left are fine and perfectly harmless and those from the right are hateful and cause violence and anybody using them should be water-boarded and locked away in gitmo.

Also the shock of a round vs a arrow..if not in a vital spot isn't it more apt o be a lingering death rather then putting the animal down , even if not yet dead but by the shock of the hit? I know a bad hit with a rifle and the deer can still run away, {hoping the hunter would do their job going after the animal, though wondering if all have that professionalism about them} but thinking less of that would be happening. I have used weapons just never have hunted so my question.

Ane how long does it take the average bow hunter to draw and aim? How about to reload and go for a second target? I'm not excusing it at all, but there really is a difference between a crosshair and a bullseye target.. at least the latter can be convincingly explained away - darts anyone?

The "bullseye" is not used exclusively for bow & arrow or darts. Here is a rather large pic so I'll just post the link that shows a shooter aiming at none other than <gasp> a bullseye! adsammo.com/images/Shooting.Target.JPGCan we put the "blame palin" and tit for tat BS away yet or are we all going to keep on beating the drum our masters tell us to beat?
