I used to live in Michigan and hated Ohio State. Woody Haze was the couch for Ohio and had a temper. We used to say Blue and Maze makes a purple Haze. What is high in the middle and round on the ends OhiO.
My ex's family was from Detroit but his grand parents were from Ohio so it was also a family thing. We called his uncle Homer from Homer Alaska to tease him about the team losing when long distance was expensive.

Your ex had a proper family, crone. I know you used to live in Detroit, if I'm not mistaken. I saw a program about the rivalry betwen U/M & Ohio State called " The Gray Flannel Skies of November ", and it about sums up the weather at that time of year. It said that fans would go outside, feel the cold, look at the gray flannel skies of Oct. and Nov., and know that football season had arrived.... |
