Markets are forward looking to see a return on investments with principal and profits included. Defaults loom large not only for bond holders in Greece and Spain, but also here in the USA as many municipalities and states are running out of money.
Yes, you have probably heard all this before from Decoy and the other Gloom and Doomers posting warnings. Unfortunately it is close to being true.
If you invest your money, and you want it all back with profits, then you actually get less, think GM bondholders here and California with IOU's, are you inclined to get burned again?
Not me. Not with stocks that are dependent upon returns from these entities, especially those who are supported with stimulus money, because that money is coming to an end.
I want all my money back, on demand with profits $$$$

So is Boeing stopping building planes?
Mcdonalds stopping sales of Big Macs?
Proctor & Gamble no longer selling you toilet paper?
Philip Morris god forbid banning cigarette sales?
You are talking macro
I look at micro....individual companies
And if those companies stop selling crap...and earning money....then i will consider the macro side
Until then....no matter what the economy does.....my companies still produce and still pay dividends
If i needed my money anytime in the near future....i may agree
My investments look out 10, 20, 30 years
