I said almost like you. Not everyone goes around in shirt sleeves in 23 degree weather. Even my crazy brother puts on a hoodie when it dips below freezing.

Yeah I know I said not everyone goes in shirt sleeves at 23 like you. Some of us don't have our blood thinned out that much

To warm up fastest if you're really chilled after being out in the cold, first put some dry clothes or sweats in the dryer and tumble for a few minutes to warm them up. While that's going on, run your hands under luke-warm water and gradually increase the temp til it's as warm as is comfortable. Then get out of any wet clothes right away, and put on the warm ones from the dryer, including socks (wool if you have them). You'll be rid of the chill in a matter of minutes.

I do the dryer trick sometimes if I come home and I'm really cold.

What do you do to get warm after snow shoveling I don't have to do a thing..... I'm in sunny warm Florida. Scratch warm 10 degree wind chill factor in some areas. What the hey!!

I know Sam. It was cold and windy last month when I was in Clearwater. I was sorely disappointed. I'm going to Vegas next week, hope its warmer than Florida was.

Granted, it's not as cold here as in many other places but getting warm after having to shovel snow isn't my problem. I usually find once I start, I quickly start shedding layers because of the workout.

We had 24 inches of snow yesterday.....husband and boys spend the afternoon snowblowing and shoveling. It's bright and sunny today, but really cold...not going to warm up this week, so snow will be around for awhile. We are going to get dumped on again next week. I want to go back to Disney World, even if it is in the 40's.

Another thing to do is put on a dry hat. More than 50% of your body heat escapes from your head and having a hat on will slow that down.

I was trying to wear a hat, but it was very windy and it kept falling off. I also wear mittens to shovel which are not waterproof so they are wet by the time I finish.
Luckily I only have to clear off my car and my parking spot which may be part of the problem. When I had to shovel my driveway I tended to dress in layers because I knew I'd be outside longer. Thanks for everyone's replies and Happy Thursday!

You should dress warmer. I'm usually sweating when I get done shoveling snow.
