That is impressive. One guy in our gym does the entire stack on the leg press until failure which is never when I'm waiting for the machine.

OMG Fam why didn't I think of that!! Tough - I don't know if builds muscles to support your knees, but it enables me to work my glutes/quads/hamstrings without *hurting* my knees. I too have support issues and can't do lunges or squats (but I can do straight-legged deadlifts just fine).

I have some leg issues. What muscles does that machine work? Could it build up muscles that support the knees? check out this article www.sparkpeople.com/resource/fitness_articles.asp?id=363maybe you'll find something that will help. I added it to my 'exercise info' file (yeah, I really do) I also read that changing to doing lunges stepping BACK instead of forward will keep you from stressing your knees. I rarely do forward lunges now. Seems to have helped.
