Anyone here have this or know someone who does?
I've been having wrist pain for years now and finally saw an orthopedic surgeon. After a physical exam, he said that there doesn't appear to be ligament or tendon damage, and only minor nerve irritation. I had x-rays. The only thing that showed on the x-ray was that my ulnar is short than the radius. Between that and the description of the pain (a fairly constant dull, aching pain), he thinks that I might have Kienbock's disease (it is more common in people with a shorter ulnar).
I have to get an MRI next Friday (which will be able to confirm if it is Kienbock's). There's not much information since it seems to be a pretty rare disease, so I was just wondering if anyone here had any experience with it.

Most of what I've read seems to indicate that the treatment options are primarily surgical, although the specific options would depend on the staging (it's a progressive disease). The doctor said that discussing treatment before getting the MRI would be premature, since there isn't even a confirmed diagnosis yet.
