My flexibility sucks. I am starting a yoga class this week. Any other ideas / specific stretched / routines I can do for flexibility improvement?

Yoga should help you out. I have no flexibility either, but I haven't really been bothered by it.

I noticed my flexibility in the summer big time when I tried to self-apply sunscreen

Pilates is also good for stretching & increased flexibility. It will also give you a nice body!
