Cuba doesn't have a lot to be proud of, but their home grown pharmaceutical industry is really quite good, and their medical system is one of the best in the undeveloped world.

Don't laugh too fast. Venezuela was selling cut-price oil to Americans who could not afford it. I think we should be the ones with the red faces. Pretty sure he stopped selling it to Kennedy's charity, etc, a few years ago. |

I'm not familiar with "Kennedy's charity." I am thinking of cut-rate sales to Bronx residents a few years ago. Isn't Venezuela the energy rich country that has rampant energy shortages and who once had the largest middle class in latin America, until Chavez nationalized industry and started to spread the wealth. Chaos, shortages of food and poverty have overun that country. |
