I've been thinking about this all day, I'm feeling fat and bloated and crappy today and I haven't eaten well/healthy all week, I consumed nothing but sugar last Sunday, which puts me on the bad-eating fast track :/ it's finally catching up with me. I can definitely tell!!!

I can totally tell. I get a lot of vitamin D from the veggies I eat - spinach and mushrooms are packed - and find I'm very sluggish when I eat like crap.

Yes, I can tell! I actually crave fruits and veggies often and especially if I'm not eating them enough. I also feel ill after eating out at certain restaurants that use too much salt and butter on their food. I mentioned this on another thread here too.

I don't always eat vegetables. I'm just not a great cook. When my parents or grandma cooks veggies I will eat several servings of them.
I know I've been overeating breads and desserts like crazy. This has been making me feel yucky here and there. I need to cut back and I am starting on April 7th!

Hi Insurancegal, I am moving next week and think I should be settled and out of excuses by April 7th. Well, lets make that April 4th.
Okay, my healthy way of eating will begin on April 4th!!

I can definitely tell--and not to be gross--because the lack of fiber in my diet creates digestion problems (if you get my drift). Also, if I find that when I eat a healthy lunch, I don't get as lethargic in the afternoon (which can be quite a problem because there's nowhere to take a nap at my office!).

Do strawberries with Nutella count? Yes - that is considered protein, isn't it? And with whipped cream. My neighbor/good friend came over yesterday after she picked fresh strawberries. I washed them and we had them with whipped cream on the back patio. Pure Heaven!

Sometimes. Sometimes nothing makes me feel better than a McDonalds double quarter pounder with cheese or a six piece KFC dinner. Other times it makes me feel like crap.

I used to eat a HUGE salad for lunch - like 1/3 pound of mixed greens. I could totally tell the rest of the day - I would feel great. I need to get back into that...it was taking so long to eat it I cut out the lettuce and have just been eating apple/chicken breast for lunch. Quicker...but I don't feel quite the energy I used to.

I eat a good amount of fruits and vegetables and I love salads. The only time I find myself not eating as well is when I am really, really busy. It's too easy for me not to eat anything. I definitely lose some energy when I do this.

If I get bored at work I start snacking, usually on crap because there isn't much available except crap unless you've brought it with you. I try to stay organized and have apples and bananas at home I can stick in with my lunch so I avoid the temptation of the candy machine!

I started experimenting with fasting one day a week after I had to do it for The test Which is Not Discussed in Polite Company and found that not only did it not kill me, but it didn't interfere with my workouts. About 6 months ago, I settled into a modified routine: 2 days a week I eat all the fresh fruits and vegetables I want, with a light canned soup at lunch (also loaded with extra veggies) and Greek nonfat yogurt with honey for dinner. I also take in unlimited coffee (yeah, I know), water and any non-caloric drinks.
I'm noticing that on the days when I'm eating lightly, I feel more alert and focused. Now my clothes are looser. Woo-hoo! I tend to snack more on fresh fruits and veggies now rather than refined carbohydrates, and I've totally given up microwave popcorn, even the "healthy" varieties because it just makes me feel bloated.
So, yes, I can definitely tell the difference in how I feel when I'm eating good stuff vs. too much starch and protein.

I do not eat fast foods because they are loaded with fat and salt. Eating out is a challenge because I portion our meals at home; in a restaurant, the portion sizes of carbs are much larger. Of course they are- carbs are cheap! DH and I typically take half of our restaurant meals home and enjoy them as another meal- but that's harder to do when you're on the road.

I eat clean all week and saturday is my cheat day. I eat one meal that I wouldn't normally eat. Usually for lunch or at around 2pm.
