Hello Everyone,
My primary exercise has been Wii Fit Plus. I like the walking, step aerobics, yoga, etc on it. I'm a lazy couch potato. I liked doing Wii Fit since I like to see the time/points and compete to get the best and beat my own high.
Unfortunately, since about 3 weeks, my Wii Fit Plus is giving an error. Other dvds work fine except for one Mario game. I looked on the Nintendo website and it says to send in the Wii console to repair. It's going to cost $75.
Should I repair it or get a game for XBox? We have XBox already. I'd probably get Kinect and ActivSport 2 or Your Shape Fitness. DS has been asking us for Kinect for a while now and we would buy it soon - maybe for his birthday in June.
I currently don't have any other exercise dvd. Since Wii went south, I haven't been exercising, so need something soon. I would like something with Yoga too since I have ankle issues and might not want to do high-impact exercises all the time.
Any recommendations?

Don't pay the 75$. Try some music and check out Royal Canadian Air Force Workout. It's multi tiered for 12 y/o's to 50 y/o+. Pick what you like and can do from this and design YOUR OWN workout. And of course check with your Dr. first
Start easy peasy and gradually.

Royal Canadian Airforce Exercise The 5BX plan
The 5BX Plan is composed of six charts arranged in increasing order of difficulty. Each chart is composed of five exercises that are performed within 11 minutes. The first four exercises are calisthenics, and the last an aerobic exercise. As the individual progresses within the system, the number of each type of exercise that must be performed increases and the difficulty of each exercise increases. Exercises
Throughout the charts and levels, the five exercises are the same, but more difficult variations are introduced:
1. Stretching 2. Sit-up 3. Back extension 4. Push-up 5. Running in place
A walk or run may be substituted for the final exercise; the distances to be covered and the time to be taken are also specified in the plan.

If the point of exercise is to get you fit then you have to do exercises that accomplish this goal otherwise you are just doing an activity. By doing an activity that does not accomplish your goal then becomes a waste of time.

One can 'train' for a military type push up by using a staircase.

Do you have cable? Time Warner is my provider, and we have exercise tv on demand. You can pick amongst a ton of different workouts - Low Impact, Cardio, etc.

Well, I went ahead and got the Kinect and ActivSport 2. However, haven't used it yet because my ankle's been bothering me and have had other issues. Thanks for all your input
