When I am working out regularly, I weigh more, I eat more, I think about food all of the time. When I am not working out regularly, I weigh less, I like what the scale says, I like how my clothes fit, but I look flabby and gross. I try to eat salads and healthy things when working out regularly, but they are not filling and they are not a cheeseburger. How do you combat increased hunger when working out regularly? Thanks

You're right, vegetables are not that filling because there really isn't anything in them other than fiber, vitamins and minerals. Try supplementing with protein powder as a meal replacement. Eat filling things such as oatmeal, peanut butter etc. Make sure your stomach has shrunk and then don't over eat which will stretch it back out.

I find that my appetite increases quiet a bit when I work out at least three days a week. My body craves protein and I use powders like Dr. Pig recommends, along with fruit as a snack. Lately I can't get enough apples and find myself eating at least three a day. They seem to be the prefect snack for me, without adding a bunch of fat. I think you need to find the healthy snack that works for you.
I must admit, nothing beats a good cheeseburger (or three), but I'm still trying to gain weight.

You should allow yourself healthy snacks such as an apple with peanut butter, yogurt with fruit and almonds, baby carrots and hummus, a whole grain English muffin with a bit of cream cheese for examples. I don't believe in starving yourself because I think you end up eating more in the long run.

A friend swears by the 1 cup of choclate milk after exercise. It has reduced her famished feeling and reduced her chip binges. She said she lost weight. That's hard to tell on a stick figure.
I agree with MM on eating more times a day.
If you can eat it, try a cup of fat free cottage cheese or a couple of eggs with a sprinkle of cheese for breakfast. Grapefruit will also reduce your hunger. Peeled and sectioned like an orange but they do squirt so watch your dress clothes.
For cheeseburgers, try eating the smaller size ones like a whopper jr. and hold the mayo. That is close to a balanced, correct size meal as you can get. And skip the fries and shake.
