I'm eating carrots and hummus for lunch. What is hummus? Mashed chick pea paste with garlic, olive oil, onion, and lemon. It's divine.

Yes, or you can dip veggies in it, or dip some other type of bread in it.

"What is hummus?" Josie I didn't realize you led such a sheltered life. I could teach you so much.

I'm eating carrots and hummus for lunch. Yum! For breakfast I had Special K Red Berries and a glass of orange juice. I usually have a yogurt at 10:30 as well. Today someone brought in soft pretzels. Swoon! So I had one at 9:30. Lunch was leftover linguine with whole peeled tomato sauce. And another soft pretzel I had horded. It's now 3 p.m., so it's time for my apple. Dinner will be a crab cake and snow peas.

Breakfast was raisin bran and banana with skim milk. I've gained 10 # since retiring. Got to start running again.

You can buy hummus. It's usually around the fancy cheeses in the grocery store. It's delicious!

You can buy it or make it; I prefer to make it. It's so simple! Chick peas, tahini (you can omit, it's sesame paste), olive oil, lemon, juice, garlic, and I use cayenne pepper. All in a food processor/blender. Walla!

*drools* Oh wow! Now I really want some hummus. It's also amazing on a bagel, just in case the twenty ideas already thrown out there aren't enough for you I haven't had breakfast or lunch yet and I probably won't eat much til dinner - we're having Chicken with Lemon Leek Linguine (actually spinach fettucine) and a salad.

Mostly steak and potato people. Ken, please do bring me some hummus and something to dip in it...

Breakfast was instant oatmeal. I was starving before 11am but I misjudged the extent of hungry. I got lunch at 11:30 and I was eating I was replying to a text and noticed my hands were very shaky. I know I need some protein. I have some yogurt I'll take tomorrow. I can't eat when I first wake up so I wait. I normally do yogurt or string cheese but I got away from that when I had a sinus infection and the doctor said no dairy till I was better.

I am in the same boat as WV and have to be to work on time I usually have a banana while I am getting ready for work and then instant oatmeal heated up in the microwave at work. We had customer appreciation today too so I managed to sneak a white macadamine nut cookie - yummy. I also had to detail all of our entertainment expense for the year today. It was like a culinary walk through every restaurant in town so it made me hungry. How can one person really spend that much money eating out and then complain that I want to give a raise to someone that hasn't had one in over 4 years? But I digress. I tried to be good today but making a spreadsheet of who ate what, with whom when, and where forced me out to lunch After reviewing all my choices (ie the aforementioned spreadsheet) I decided on the nice little seafood restaurant not far from the office. It was divine and an hour to myself to eat and read, priceless. Anyway, today has been all about food so I really need to make another post about what I ate today...........
