Yogurt and a hard boiled egg (yes - the typical New Years resolution to drop a few #'s)

an omelet made with 2 egg whites and one whole egg, topped with cheese and green peppers...and a ton of coffee.
I'm low-carbing and not happy about it

Unsweetened cranberry juice, Cheerios, skim milk and cottage cheese. My usual. I do change off on the cereal (I like Total, Grape Nuts and Raisin Bran), but it's an easy breakfast to fix on a busy morning, so I stick with it.

A chocolate chip cookie, a handful of dark chocolate Moose Munch, coffee and orange juice. I forgot to pack myself something for breakfast so I have been foraging in the lunchroom.

J, how do you do that?
I NEED to eat as soon as I get up. In fact, that's what will get me up and moving before anything else will. By 10:30 or so, I'm on to a snack.

Normally, I only have coffee until lunch. However, I am trying to become healthier so I am forcing myself to eat breakfast.

A too-big bowl of frosted mini-wheats with 1% milk, a glass of water, a multivitamin and an Omega-3 vitamin. I really need to get those darn prenatals.

Yeah, me too. Can't ya tell?!? Jen, I used to eat Special K because it has 100% of your daily value of Folic Acid.

BW, luckily my multivitamin has 100% folic acid. Also the omega-3 vitamin has 30% of my DHA requirement, so between the two pills I'm getting pretty much what the prenatal samples I took have.

I figured the Special K was insurance on top of the prenatal, since they think Folic Acid is what helps prevent spinal cord defects. (see? I can be Type A on occasion ). I never got tired of cereal or ice cream when I was pregnant.

I need a good breakfast to start my day. Today I had 1/2 a cup of low fat, so salt added cottage cheese on two slices of toasted rye bread with 3 slices of thin sliced honey maple ham and a dash of pepper. It was yummy!!! Unfortunately, a co-worker succeededin tempting me with a free butter roll about 10 minutes ago...too much carbs!!! I'm weak

J, how do you do that? I NEED to eat as soon as I get up. In fact, that's what will get me up and moving before anything else will. By 10:30 or so, I'm on to a snack. I've decided that sleep is more important to me, so I get up with just enough time to get ready and get out the door. No time for breakfast at home. By the time I get to the office, I'm still half-asleep, so I don't get hungry until my coffee's gone.

Update: So I ended up getting involved in several work-related things (none of which were actually work, of course ), so I never got around to eating breakfast. Instead I've just moved on to lunch.

I got back from vacation last night, and proceeded to sleep for 14 straight hours. vacation was a concert cruise, where I don't think I slept 14 hours all weekend. this morning, I woke up to a completely empty fridge. I just got back from grocery shopping, where I stocked up and picked up some chicken nuggets and mashed potatoes from the hot foods bar. that and a can of pomegranate seltzer was breakfast for me. dinner will be some homemade chicken noodle soup, which I will start working on in about an hour or so. I like to let it sit for a bit after everything is cooked, so the flavors blend better. yum!
