Just thought I would throw this out there lol I buy a cold bottle of pop, not soda, and carry it back to my desk wedged against the flesh of my forearm. Confined to the area it touched (and it doesnt spread) is itching smooth skin, followed by lots of tiny little bumps the size of pinheads under the skin, which I itch till they surface and scab/dry over, and go away. This has happened 3 times on one arm, twice on the other arm, and it definitely is triggered by that cold bottle of pop wedged against my arm. Hasn't appeared anywhere else for those of you with a naughty mind. ps have you ever googled... .

You're probably allergic to the ink used on the pop label. I get weird rashes like that from time to time when touching weird things. And if I come into contact with anything washed in Tide.

either the ink, or the adhesive used to plaster the label to the bottle. that's the same sort of reaction I get if I use neosporin.

I have the same problem with Tide. I would agree with the dye/glue allergy except that I've been clutching cold pop bottles in this manner for many years. My tentative diagnosis is "cold urticaria" and on the wikipedia site this picture totally resembles the tiny bumps under the skin though mine is limited to the contact area of the bottle-I don't think hives is the appropriate descriptive word though. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cold_urticariaAging has been quite an experience.
