This is true for me. I do much, much better on a breakfast that includes some fat. Peanut butter on toast, whole milk on cereal, full fat yogurt, bacon and eggs. My energy level is more consistent, I concentrate better on my work, and I'm less hungry.

Your best bet is to eat a little all day long and keep active. My favorite meal happens at about 10am. Think-- fuel tank. If you put your car on a regimen, you will likely run out of gas at some point. Same with your body... keep the tank topped off to keep your metabolism active. It will burn excess fuel as you sleep, where you will burn fat while lying flat. Walk often throughout the day or you will be eating without metabolic reaction.

My fave breakfasts are oatmeal w/protein powder and cinnamon, half a chicken sandwich that has loads of vegs on whole grain or egg salad sandwich.
If I am playing golf, I like a sloppy joe. That will get me through about 4 holes when I have a little snack, 1/2 cheese slice sandwich after 9 holes and another small snack on 15 and when I am finished. Lots of water. Maybe one cup watered down gatorade when finished.

I have to have breakfast usually by 9 am or I run out of gas. Homemade raisin bread with peanut butter seems to get me going.

I do believe that breakfast means BREAK Fast! Years ago on the farm breakfast & dinner (noon) were the BIG meals & supper (evening) was either leftovers or a bowl of cereal or a sandwich or snacks (healthy)...no big meal just before bed...big meal before heading out to work!
