I'm a Siggs gal - we have 6 bottles for our 4 person family, and I carry them everywhere. I have a 5-gal water dispenser in my house, and I just refill. Bottled water drives me nuts! Way too much garbage.

Wow, that was an eye opener. I don't buy a lot of bottled water, but do have some for emergencies. We usually drink filtered tap water.

We have a reverse osmosis system under the sink and a few Nalgene bottles that we carry around. We do keep a case or two of bottled water around, though, for those times when the well needs to be serviced and the water hasn't yet passed the tests. It's usually Kirkland from Costco which isn't on the list - I'll have to check the bottle now that I've read this.

I use a Brita filter.
Reverse osmosis filters out all of the minerals. You body scavangers the minerals from your bones.

I just drink tap water usually... it's good enough quality, and I feel it's a huge waste to buy bottled water (waste of material, and water too). We're lucky in this country to have, for the most part, tap water that is perfectly fine to drink, and I wish more people took advantage of that. (having a Brita filter or something is good peace of mind for folks who are concerned about it for any reason)

I use a Brita. I have an undersink reverse osmossis system, but there were some leaks and I have to replace a few of the lines. Haven't gotten around to it.

I have a Pur pitcher, but this does remind me that we need to buy a filter.

We have well water, so we have to buy bottled for drinking.

One of the worst parts about bottled water is-- the bottle. You can't see it but aged bottled water has an unwanted green algae that forms inside (don't be fooled by the cap, the water is polluted going in). Our Michigan (Detroit River watervliet) is outstanding. A lot of brand bottled water came from a Michigan aquifer near Evart, until it was forced shut down. Just make sure you're drinking SEVERAL glasses of tap a day.

Only time I drink bottled water is if I'm out and can't refill my water bottle. I usually keep one in my car to fill up.
The rest of the time, I drink water put through a Brita filter or directly out of the tap. Coffee tastes better when I use the filtered water though.
