It is a crisp fall morning here. Frost on the grass but by this evening it will be good trick or treating weather. It is so difficult when one has to dress the kids up in hats and mittens and snowsuits to trick or treat!

I need sunlight, so I have one of the lamps that imitate sunlight. It really made a difference last winter, which was the first winter I used it.

Maybe I should get one of those, theotherme. Last winter I seemed to suffer S.A.D (Seasonal Affectiveness Disorder) more than normal. I've already started to feel a little less "chipper" since the days are suddenly so much shorter. We barely have 10 hours of sunlight now and it's going to decrease in the next month. Throw in the colder temps and snow and it only gets worse. I hope this turns out to be a short, mild winter where I am.

It was 63 degrees today.. ;D No snow. Just sayin'.. Jeepers! It's like the Bahama's there!  Oops! Santa's just trying to cool down from that 63 degree temp! I wonder if we'll get above freezing today??? |

It is currently 80 degrees @ 6:19am Humidity? 78% There is no night air to let in this morning.. I love opening my windows and doors early to capture the night air. No such thing this morning. I opened the door leading to my deck and was immediately met with waves of humidity.. |

The wind is blowing a storm front through. I woke up with an atmospheric pressure headache which is unusual for me. Outdoor plans are cancelled.
56 degrees and 32 mph wind. Overcast and showers expected.

Whatever do you mean, heart? I thought you hated snow/winter. ? I've come here this morning cus I'm feeling desperate  My SAD started really kicking my butt about a week ago  Every year I say, "I'm NOT going to get depressed this winter!!!!! But it always happens anyway. I'm so angry at the weather, my brain, and whatever! It's been really cold here the past week or so, the furnace is running almost non-stop, and the humidity in my house in now down to 23%. I am praying for a decent day (at least 30F) so I can open some windows or doors for a bit to exchange all this dry air for some moisture! But right now all I want to do is sit here reading or take a nap. I was eating lots of carbs which is normal for me in winter, but now even my appetite is going away. I don't know how I'm going to get thru this and it's only Jan ......... um, I don't even know what day it is... Wed? or Thurs?  |

This is NOT what our weather was today! It was BEAUTIFUL. Esp. considering how cold it is/has been.... 
It looks nice today, but it is very windy, and it is freezing cold! I hate being cold.
