hey heart...we had a cloudy almost gloomy day yesterday...but the temps were in the 70's so i enjoyed it...a little taste of fall...we still need rain

Fall I can tolerate. It's the idea that behind it looms the winter ... the barren trees, brown landscapes, occasional bouts of snow/ice that make going to the grocery, or to work a nightmare. At this time of year, I have to focus on the now. Now, it's beautiful and soon the leaves will turn. For a short, amazing time there will be myriads of color to soften the landscape. If I can focus on that and forego thinking about what's to come, I do okay. My really bad time doesn't come until January and February. Then, I want to crawl into a hole and just wait out the misery. |

Hey there, Kpad! Just read through the forecasts.. I bet you did enjoy those 70's.. It's a bit chilly here, and beautiful. I was going to the apple farm today, but that fell through.. Maybe next weekend.. The leaves will show more of their glory by then anyways, so it's just as well.. mmhmm.. I know what you mean about wanting to crawl up during the two most frigid months, Janurary and February.. But gosh darn it.. We can't.  |

55 degrees and cloudy here.
I have suffered from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) for probably around 30 years now. Not fun. Wish I had the money to go away someplace warm in Jan/Feb.

The weather does affect me to some degree. If more than three/four days of cloudy days or rain in a row becomes the norm I find myself needing to adjust my emotions.. It's been quite warm in my general area for a few days. 61°F Partly Cloudy Wind: SE at 3 mph Humidity: 88% Today: High 84° Low 64° 4:15 am I walked out on my front porch not too long ago.. It is so humid. |
