Can a pinched nerve in the back, possibly from an injured shoulder, cause the right arm and leg to go numb or would there have to be more than one pinched nerve to affect both arm and leg? Can't find anything about this on the Net and need info. ASAP Thanks. Yes, it could be "pinched" (blocked) nerves in the spinal column. Multiple nerves run into the spine from the body to each vertebrae junction. You may want to see a chiropractor, that would be my first response if it were me.

Good luck. Hope it isn't serious.

lonewolf,
My friend had the exact symptoms that you describe and we had to go to the ER because he thought that it was a stroke and could not feel his arms and leg on one side. But it turned out that he has a pinched nerve with degeneration that was causing the same symptoms. They did a nerve conductivity test and found out about the blocks. Currently he is under physiotherapy and is feeling a lot better. HTH

I have bulged discs in the mid thorasic and I get pain and numbness in my shoulders, arms, and sometimes legs. It feels all the time like heart issue symptoms but that's been tested many times and is fine. disc/back issues can have a huge effect on the rest of you.
