Well, that sucked big time. Glad I didn't listen Yup. Even worse around here was the Bronco win.  According to Bronco fans, Tebow is the new Almighty.   there's a whole new class of Broncos fans too - the all-knowing Gator fans who swoon over anything and everything Tebow. I love my southern friends dearly, but I'm getting a little sick of my FB wall getting filled with Tebow love.  |

Just bought some Packers stock this morning, 2 shares. My nephew is a huge Packers fan, so it's a Christmas gift; even though I'm a Saints fan, I bought one too since I think the public ownership system of the Packers is such a cool concept. Didn't want to post this at YM since I'd probably get flamed for a poor "investment" decision  |

Hey, I bought my son two shares also. He is big Packer fan so if anyone at YM says anything I will just tell them to Bite Me. But lord help me if the Raiders ever start selling shares. I will probably wind up in the poor house buying shares  BTW I have lost my smiley drop down thingy and I have a smite button showing. Guess I should go to EE and see what is goning on. It took me two hours to get logged on!!!!! |

Guess im the only LIONS fan here, love our QB and most of the players... having a problem with one. But my boys need to pick it up NOW... I want to go to the playoffs.  You'll forgive a Packer fan for hoping your boys don't make the playoffs. I suspect the Lions would knock us out. You play hard/well against us the last few years and I'm more afraid of meeting the Lions in the playoffs than I am the Bears or the 49ers... I forgive this fan for having a great team and crushing my dream of a sensantional season for my lions. |

A friend of mines calls them the Detroit kitties, he knows that pisses me off.  Don't let him piss you off. You should hear what my friends have to say about the Raiders  Hard not to get pissed, but in order to be a lions fan you have to have thick skin... And a mouth to go with it. ;D |

I have watched sports for many many years and for the life of me I can not imagine getting pissed over a game. I also don't understand why a fan of a certain team would say "we" or "us" You are not on the team now are you?
There are currently two consistent teams in the nfl, Pack and Indy. The Pack is extremely vulnerable, there defense sucks yet they have not lost. They could easily run into a buzz saw during the playoffs. A team with a superior defense and the Pack is in trouble. Unfortunately there are not many strong teams this year.

Green Bay -- Oakland Raiders coach Hue Jackson spoke with Wisconsin media members Wednesday. A few highlights...
On Michael Bush's play: "He’s done a good job. He’s done a really good job. Over the last couple of weeks, though, people have slowed us down a little bit. We need to get back to playing Raider football, get back to doing what we do... We’ve been doing everything we do with Darren because Michael knows the system and knows how to play, and we’ll continue to move forward in that direction."
On the Raiders' identity as a team: "I think we’re a big, physical football team, and I think we need to play that way. We need to be able to stop the run and we need to be able to run the ball. That’s where it starts for us and that’s where it’s going to end. We’re going to be who we are, and that’s what we plan on doing."
On if there's a formula to beat Green Bay: “I think everybody’s beatable. I’m not going to sit here and say everybody is. You just have to play your best game. You have to play as well as you’ve played all year. That’s why everybody’s going to take their shot at them, no doubt. It’s our opportunity now. We’re the next team up and we’re not coming in to lose. That’s for sure. We’re coming in with the attitude to win a football game. That’s what you have to do. If you don’t, you might as well not make the trip.”
On what it would take: “It would take us to play very flawless football. You have to do a great job on offense of scoring points and a great job on defense of limiting this football team’s ability to score points. And then we have to play great special teams because they have returners that can make magic happen and unbelievable kickers. We have to play as good as we’ve played all year in order to beat this football team.”

I really like Hue Jackson. Glad they promoted him. However, the quote above: "I think everybody’s beatable. I’m not going to sit here and say everybody is." So. does he think they are or aren't?  I re-read that three times yesterday and decided I was getting old. Glad I wasn't the only one!!! Thanks for clearing it up for me Iggy |

Your Raiders defense/special teams let me down last week Iggy  .Looks like the Bears playoff chances are quickly dwindling...Forte and cutler are both out now. And I have the Jaguars defense/special teams on my fantasy team - sitting on the bench, sigh. That's an understatement. How do you think us poor Raiders fans feel Ok, now I am sitting here just waiting to see if we get the Raiders game. and waiting, and waiting while the talking heads yammer away. |
