Despite the Packers defense being a bit weak, you're still going to have to score 50 to beat them, and you're going to have to beat them in Lambeau in January...not going to happen! Someone under the radar always gets hot around playoff time, but I don't think anyone can stop the Packers offense this year (Disclaimer: unless Aaron Rodgers got hurt).

Someone under the radar always gets hot around playoff time, but I don't think anyone can stop the Packers offense this year (Disclaimer: unless Aaron Rodgers got hurt). True but you may get some unexpected help from our defense. Ig. NFC North is the Packers in 1st place at 8-0. Vikings are last at 1-7? And I think the Bears and Lions are tied 5-2 and playing tonight. And your Raiders get to play us all, if you haven't already. Vikings are rebuilding, even if they're not admitting it. Lions are rebuilt and going places, although not necessarily this year. And the Bears still suck... No, the Bears, well, I don't know what describes the Bears this year. ETA - the Bears are 4-3 and the Lions are 5-2. And they do NOT play each other tonight. It's Bears vs Eagles tonight.

I'm a Saints fan originally from Albuquerque, NM. My reason for liking the Saints was that the colors and helmets were really cool, New Orleans seemed like this crazy far-away place, and everybody in Albuquerque roots for the Broncos and the Cowboys, and I can't stand either of those teams. After 20+ years of rather lousy results, at least my fandom paid off in 2010! ;D And I had seasons tickets to Saints games years ago. But I just wanted to see the other teams since NO is as close as I get to NFL teams. But you are right that NO is a crazy place. I love that city and visit it often!!!! And everyone in my neck of the woods is a Saints fan except for this lonely Raiders fan

Did you hear about the Vikings plan for partial public ownership? Shot down like a lead balloon. I pulled this from www.profootballtalk.comPartial public ownership of Vikings doesn’t mesh with league rules Posted by Mike Florio on November 7, 2011, 2:12 PM EST rsz_wall_street_bull_spencer_platt_getty_images Getty Images As the push for a new Vikings stadium in Minnesota continues, folks who are opposed to the use of public money to build a publicly-owned structure in which a wide variety of events would be staged have an idea for raising money. Have the public buy a portion of the Vikings. Representative Phyllis Kahn said Monday she’ll introduce legislation requiring the Vikings to sell 70 percent of the team via shares of stock, with a portion of the proceeds being used to pay for a new stadium. “Dayton asked for all ideas to be put on the table and that’s exactly what I’m doing here,” Kahn said, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. “No single idea [for funding a new stadium] has gained enough traction to pass the Legislature.” This one won’t either. In part because league rules don’t permit it. “It is not permissible under our ownership policies,” NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told PFT via email. “There is no public ownership permitted.” The Packers are publicly owned because they became publicly owned at a time when league rules permitted it. Besides, it would be hard for one person to go out and buy up all the stock. Under current rules, no public ownership is permitted, regardless of how much the majority owner retains.

We were on Vacay last weekend. DH couldn't get the Packers on Cable or on his computer. He was very upset and let everyone know it! He finally settled down and watched the game that was being broadcast locally. I guess any football game is better than no football game.
I think it is hilarious b/c DH was not born in the US and soccer is the sport of choice in his homeland. He watches soccer too, but I think he is a bigger football fan. His college roomates converted him to a football fan.

I feel your pain Iggy. The last thing I remember was "there are 3.24 left in the game. But I woke up around 2:30 and checked for the score. A big K was passed on early this morning. Listening to games online really wears on my nerves

I missed the first half due to the kids. And then I fell asleep in the 3rd quarter. But I'm glad the Raiders won. I was hoping they would but not expecting it going into the game, to be honest.

I'm just proud that they hung on to the lead. Considering what happened in the prior game. Are you a Packer fan? Can't remember? If I wasn't such a die hard Raiders fan I would pull for the Pack

I am a die hard lions fan, with that being said anyone who reads this should know my pain and suffering over the years... Our season started off great and now we are sliding a bit, the loss today really hurt but we will slap a bandage on it to stop the bleeding and charge forward.... LIONS fan for life.

I'm so sorry you got stuck with Matt Millen for so long. I don't know what the Lions ownership was thinking/drinking/doing when they hired him and why they didn't get rid of him sooner.
I saw something today that suggested Stafford's lousy night was in part due to the a bad finger. I saw about 5 minutes of the game, while folding laundry. It was a busy weekend and I'm hoping tonight to get the kids down and snuggle in bed to watch my Packers stomp on the Vikings... I'm a die hard Packer fan, for whomever asked last page. ;D
My DH is convinced we're going to split the games with Detroit, mskitty.

They didn't give up 400+ yards, that's for sure! And Clay Matthews got a couple of sacks, bringing him up to 5. Now they just need to keep this up.
