...RGIII's gonna be hobbling into that bar next week... Yeah, felt bad for the guy. This sounds bad, but I'm just glad one of our players didn't cause it. I blame it on that miserable field! Anybody know what was up with that???

...it's a real grass field... those that remain in the league (like the Steelers') are so obvious when they're "churned up" as opposed to the astro turf fields...
...imo...

All I know for next week's game is GO PACK! lol.
But RGIII's knee looks bad too. I hope he can come back from it.

Yeah, but my issue is when it turns out to be a health issue (not just for RG3, I saw a lot of players slipping out there) you'd think the team (or the league) would do something about it.

I saw some comments on profootballtalk.com that indicated people think replacing the grass = owner's option.

I know it's not NFL, but rather than starting a new thread: Anyone going to watch Alabama and ND tonight?

I just read the Seahawks are going to file a complaint with the NFL about the field that injured RG3 and Chris Clemons (our DE who may have torn his ACL/MCL.)

I know it's not NFL, but rather than starting a new thread: Anyone going to watch Alabama and ND tonight? Yup! Just wish it wasn't at 5...I mean, I get that 8pm Eastern is a nice time, but geez. By the time I get home from work it'll almost be halftime!

I'm not a college football fan. I tepidly follow the Badgers but that's about it. I do think there are too many bowl games. And college football should match the NFL, not the NFL changing to college rules....

yes, ma'am. go IRISH! blocked due to malware/_Fr2AB6jHS-M/Sqlu-0FW3LI/AAAAAAAABM0/ikBKulKWdLA/s400/notre-dame-fighting-irish-logo.jpg[/img] and nalto, 8pm starts are just way too late. I won't get to bed until after midnight tonight, which is so far past my normal bedtime that I'm going to be useless at work tomorrow.

I'm sure Dan Snyder could cough up the money for turf. I was there in September for the WVU JMU game and was shocked to discover they didn't have turf. After all in 1996 my high school stadium got identical turf to what the Dallas Cowboys had at the time. If they could find the money, so could Snyder.
I also heard comments around town that they could have replaced sections of sod before the game.

Oh I've got DVR...I'm just tired of being the East Coast's little you-know-what.
Then again, I don't have to live on the East Coast, so that's a plus.

With all these late(r) games, is the East just pretty much useless in the am's?

...grass vs. turf is a big debate... injuries occur on both... who knows if the league will ever step in an regulate it to only one surface... ?
...but without grass and fresh sod, we wouldn't get games like the sponge bowl where Steelers hosted the Dolphins for a 3-0 win and a kicker could, quite literally, stick it at the 1yard line... ;D

ugh.... while I fully admit that ND was overmatched, it would have been nice to have a fair playing field while they were out there.

Of course I'm going to root for the Ravens and Patriots. They are AFC teams that I count on to beat the Steelers and make me happy. There's a misguided soul somewhere in my work complex. I saw a this is Steelers country license plate the other day. Obviously they failed geography.
