Can't imagine playing with that hanging on your heart distraction is a wonderful thing for a heavy heart.

God, that was an ugly finish to the Packer game.

I highly doubt any alanysts would agree with that comment still feel that way after last night's mess?

IA with famcfo that there were MANY bad calls/no calls on BOTH sides of the Patriots/Ravens game. There were many of the same types of situations in almost all of the games, but that was one of the highest scoring ones so both teams were doing something right.
With these refs, the players are definitely pushing the envelope on what they think they can get away with. Just look at all the injuries in week 3.
In the Packers/Seahawks game though that botched call at the end was monumental. Both teams played horribly, IMO, but what happens when a team misses the playoffs because of one of these early losses? Or when a "superstar" gets seriously injured? Goodell needs to get the owners onboard with getting this deal done before this happens.

That was the first affected outcome and hopefully the last. I will say that was a difficult call for any ref to make as the angles would lead one to believe Jenkins had the ball on his chest but the angle isn't great. As far as the offensive pass interference, it is very rarely called in that situation. They called simultaneous possession which goes to the offense. What should have happened is that the white hat should have had a conference with the two officials and made a decision from there.

I didn't see the game, only the replays on news. So asking a dumb question here. I know the officials on the field had a difference of opinion at first but was the play reviewed? If they did why is everyone on the officials case and not the reviewer?

It was reviewed but in order to overturn a call there has to be indisputable evidence the wrong call was made and again with the camera angles, although it appeared to be in possession of the Packer it wasn't absolutely clear

The NFL & the refs have made progress and are close to a deal. Regular refs may be working this weekend, but unfortunately not for the Thursday night game.

If they did why is everyone on the officials case and not the reviewer? There was a non-existent Roughing the Passer call that negated an interception by the Packers about 3 plays earlier. The refs blew that one too. This game never should have gotten down to this play. Yeah, the Packers offense needed to produce TD instead of field goals, that's a given. But there were like 8 other calls on either side of the field that the refs screwed up on.

I needed the Packers defense to produce for my fantasy team! Every time I start them they suck on defense.

Well my other defense is New England and they gave up 500+ yards to Baltimore.

I'm hoping Mark Sanchez has the worst game of the season this Sunday! Jets vs Niners! ;D

I'll say it before WVUgurl says it: Brandon Weeden did good. His stats would of been better if his receivers held on to the ball. Normally, that's Baltimore's problem! So Weeden is a 28 yo rookie that played minor league baseball. Discuss.

I can't discuss. I saw about 5 minutes of the game, around 9:45pm. I fell asleep with DS and staggered out of his room at 9:30, babbled at DH, loaded the dishwasher, and turned the game on in our room and promptly fell asleep. I have a vague memory of a nice pass in the 4th quarter when he was at 2nd or 3rd and forever.

I'll discuss. We committed waaaay too many stupid penalties (especially the one with 2 seconds left in the game, wth were you thinking Kruger??? ). Weeden did a good job partly because we have no pass rush (although I'm a sucker for baseball players )! Suggs, get better, would you? Refs did a good job and I'm just happy we got a win.

I saw the end of the Ravens game and I can't believe that guy gave Cleveland another chance to win it. If Cleveland had some receivers that could catch a ball the game might have ended differently. Packers defense still sucks!!! And thank you Beth for the good wishes

You know, if you'd told me 3 months ago that the NFC North would have 2 teams tied at 3-1; 1 team at 2-2 and 1 team at 1-3; I've had put the Packers and Detroit in first; the Bears at 2-2 and the Vikings at 1-3. Guess I'm never going to win money betting on sports...

Goes to show that you can't be a great QB without an offensive line that protects you.

Yeah I would have liked to have had the Bears defense the night they played the Cowboys. No, I have the Packers!

Alex Smith is only as good as his defense, he's just not all that good when playing from behind.
It's also the first time since week one that the defense has seen a quality quarterback
