I really like my 2001 Honda Civic Coupe. It needs some body work, but it is a trooper.

1969 to 1971 Corvettes. The chrome bumper cars.
Then there are the original Ford GT40's. Well, I also like the BMW M1. 1st generation Camaro's I drove a 1932 Chevy coupe a few years back. What a hoot!
Ok, I like them all .....................

DH had a 68 camaro rally sport when we met. Unfortunately we got rid of it when we started a family.

must have been a typo there DI, the cudas had a 426 street hemi in them, the 396s came standard with the cheverlot SS packages from 66-70, and the actual cubic inches on all the 70,s was 402, but gm kept the 396 number for insurance purposes, higher cubic inch=more you pay to insure it.

My two favorite cars are my 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger and 1984 Ferrari 308GTS QV
My Dart is the first car I ever owned. It's fairly tame with a 318, 4bbl carb and an automatic on the column. It's panted lime green.
The 308 is the car that made me fall in love with Ferrari. I remember as a kid watching Magnum. P.I. only to see his car. It's not the fastest or best handling car, but the lines and curves beautiful.

now heres a cool site i found www.carsinbarns.com its a shame what some people will let happen to old classics, with the standard "O im gonna fix it up some day" as it rots into the ground. or my nephew is gonna come get it blah blah blah, on the upside it makes your old ride more collectable.

My favorite was a 65 Barracuda Formula S. That car was so much fun. Only buried the speedometer once.

If we had our druthers it would be an old Ford Pickup from the 40's or 50's. What we have is a 1947 Dodge Deluxe that still needs a carp load of work on it and is a class A eyesore. It is now running but man does it look bad.

Favorite is the 1976 Ford Elite that I bought new and still own. Black on black with a 460. Second favorite was my 1966 Mustang fastback that I gave to my son a few years back. It's still sitting at his house awaiting a full restoration job.

Does it have to be an old car that I owned, or just a general old car? My favorite would be a 67 Shelby. I have never owned one, nor will I ever have the money to buy one, bot I do love them. My second choice would be a 67 Chevelle.

I loved my Plymouth FeatherDuster with the Slant 6 engine - don't remember what year it was, maybe a 68 or 69?
I totalled it after skidding out on some black ice on a bridge overpass. Hit one bridge abutment, spun across the highway and hit the other bridge abutment with the other side. Wiped out both sides of the car, front to back.
I was lucky to walk away from that one.

Looks like a few Chevelle people here. My first car (that I bought at 15 and took my driver's test in) was a 1970 Chevelle SS 396. Racing stripes, cowl induction hood, big ol' wide tires.... Yeah, the examiner was just thrilled to see me show up. Then went to a 1982 Trans Am, a 1992 Firebird.... Then I grew up the rest of the way.... ;D

For styling -- last '40's MG TC. Long hood, swooping front fenders, suicide doors, right hand drive.
For horse power -- early 70's Jensen Interceptor. Tuned and tweaked Chrysler 440 (about 390 hp). Cold idle at 40 mph. Only owner's manual I've seen with tire pressures for sustained driving in excess of 105 MPH. Smooth, smooth ride. Styling somewhat similar to Porsche 924/928. Total production about 6,400 units over 10 years.
Favorite domestic limited production car -- Studebaker Avanti and its successors. Total production of the Raymond Loewy design (including a later re-design by a member of Loewy's original team) was 8,787 cars between 1962 and 2005. During 1962 and 1963, 4,647 1963 model year cars were produced. This leaves production of just over 100 cars a year from 1964 through 2005.

Co-inky-dink this thread just got bumped. As I posted earlier, my favorite car has been the 1976 Ford Elite which I still own.
Just for the heck of it, I ordered a "Marti Report" to see how rare it might be. I got the results two days ago and it turns out it is one of one built. Now I have to find out what it's actually worth.

If it doesn't work, I'm at a loss. www.autotraderclassics.com/community/classic-car/1976-Ford-Elite-288226.xhtml

"I had a 73 Newport. Great car. It could sleep 4" Yeah, mine was gold, with shiny gold polyester interior. You had to wear seat belts...otherwise you'd slide across the seat going around corners. Stupid me traded that car in for a '89 turbo Daytona CS. That was probably the worst car ever.

DH had a 68 camaro rally sport when we met. Unfortunately we got rid of it when we started a family. I miss my 68 Camaro RS too. Bought it off showroom floor Funny you got rid of yours when you started family and I bought mine when my son was 2 ETA: of course car seats now are bigger than my Camaro!!
