I love the seasons too, but winter is 4 months to long here. Where is "here"?

I think also that it has to do with the clothing you have to wear for the winter months - even though I live in Florida, it is an effort some times to get out when it is cold. Besides that, we have to deal with the 30 degrees in the morning and then warming up to 75 in the afternoon. I also tend to not exercise enough in the winter and gain weight which makes me sad too

At least you wake up with a little HOPE knowing it will get up to 75! Spring is so far away.

In the winter it's too cold for me to do anything. In the summer it's too hot. In the spring it's too rainy. In the fall it's too windy. Ditto, ditto, ditto, ditto. Winter doesn't make me lazy; being alive makes me lazy

I am lazier than usual in the winter because I don't like the cold either. It doesn't help that with the snow and ice sometimes it feels too dangerous to go walking outside for exercise. Now that its January the days the high is above freezing is going to drop.

I DO NOT LIKE WINTER! I HATE being cold and I NEED sunshine. Even in summer, gray/rainy days make me blue.
I live in the MidSouth and I still stay home in the winter as much as I can. I go to work, take the kids to school, run necessary errands and wait for spring to come so I can start playing. I'm definitely lazier in the winter.
I'd go nuts living somewhere that it rained all the time (Seattle?) or where winters are brutally cold and there's a lot of snow. It gets cold here in the winter and life goes on, but my city pretty much shuts down if it snows. It's snowing now and I won't be leaving the house until it melts. Not even to go to work.

Pitifully enough, though, I love it when it's cold outside (anyone else hear a holiday jingle???), but apparently not enough to make me go outside and do anything.

I had a friend that lived in Houston, coming up the PNW in the winter always drove him crazy because it was so grey. He never figured how I could put up with it.
This is not the place if you prefer it doesn't rain.

Winter doesn't make me lazy; being alive makes me lazy Is it alarming that I was thinking the exact same thing? Weeks of gray days do make me unmotivated. This is why I can never again live in Chicago.

I noticed a drop in 'get and up go' a few years ago. Not sure why and they've never found anything when they've run tests.

Winter lethargy is definitely due to the lack of sunshine vs. the cold. I was in Alaska during the summer when there is daylight almost 24/7 and at 10:00 at night I thought it was 6:00. I didn't feel the least bit tired. A lot of the people have blackout shades on their windows so that they can get 8 hours of sleep!!
I live in CA and even in the land of good winters, I can get lethargic if it is cloudy and rainy for too many days in a row. But then we'll have a couple of days of sunshine and I can recharge my battery.

The ONLY time I ever want to leave the house during daylight hours is when it's raining. I live in Los Angeles and the weather totally bums me out. I hate all the sunshine. It puts me in a miserable mood. Not to mention the sun causes wrinkles and cancer. Fu@k that sh!t.

i remember reading an article where they linked the top 10 cites with the least amount of sunshine, were the 10 top cites with the highest suicide rates...
can't say as i am lazier in the winter...just don't spend as much time outside as things are dormant...

I live in sunny Florida when I'm not with DF is G-awful Michigan. I HATE Michigan. I'm glad I left it and ONLY DF is enough to get me back here and TG he is old and will retire in a few years and sell his business to someone who can stand this awful weather. No wonder people are fat and unhappy. It's hard to get out of bed before 8am whereas in Florida I'm up EARLY full of energy and ready to work out and start my day!!! I spent almost 2 years in Oregon and even Michigan is better than there.

Yes! We are getting snow here today and all I want to do is get home safely, put my jammies on, turn my fireplace on and get into a tourney.
I have a coworker who tells me every day...."we are one day closer to spring" and I love that line.
