"The raccoons figured out the beetles are in the bucket," Bruning said. "And its like grapes in a jar. The raccoons - they're not stupid, they're gonna do the easy way if we make it easy for them. Just like welfare recipients all across America. If we don't send them to work, they're gonna take the easy route."
The incident recalls similar language from South Carolina Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer (R), who apologized in January 2010 for saying in a speech on America's "culture of dependency" that he learned "as a small child to quit feeding stray animals. You know why? Because they breed."

Strays are big problems in many areas. Nothing funny about a rising stray population.

That's why we can't let the government take our guns away.

The title isn't entirely accurate, since he likened welfare recipients to scavenging Raccoons ... not "scavengers."
We've got at least one large raccoon in our neighborhood, we've caught him on our front porch scavenging dry cat kibble. Then again, we've also got a family of possums in our neighborhood, who also scavenge cat kibble. The environmental protection laws really tie our hands about wildlife.
But stray cats? We are permitted to trap them, neuter them, and release them. (Wouldn't THAT analogy get some politician in trouble?)

Welfare recipients like scavengers Only an idiot would say that. Everybody knows that welfare recipients get their check deposited in their accounts for them. Scavengers have to go out & hunt for something to eat. Just not a good comparison.

I think attacking welfare recipients is counterproductive. These are our fellow citizens. The problem is government, and what government is doing to our fellow citizens. We ought to be coming along side the welfare recipients and saying to them- we love you, we believe in you, we know you can do better than this. And to prove we believe in you, we're going to start slowly taking away benefits until you are standing on your own two feet. I am of course speaking of the able bodied. I have no problem 'helping' children and the disabled. It's just that I think part of a decent welfare office shoud be doing is helping applicants navigate the vast network of private charity options FIRST, and then requiring evidence that all private options have been exhausted FIRST. Then, as a last resort, taxpayer money may be used on a limited basis to help-- but NO federal money. None. It all has to be at the state level.

C'mon mods.
Ugonow's just testing to see if you guys ever pay attention to his increasing use of lies in thread titles. So far, he's under your radar.
Y'all too busy micro-dissecting Paul's thread titles to bother with ugonow?

Changed it for you.I wasn't testing anyone, just showing the seeds of class hatred being planted are not as onesided as it is being presented.
