I received a bombshell in my email today. It is not recent news, and if it shows anything at all it would be to make us aware of just how deeply the Main Stream Media is embedded with the forces of real darkness for them not having blown the top off of similar practices nationwide. The "not recent news" part is because it was made public as far back as July 7th but not a single Main Stream Media source about it shows up on a Google search. . . . unless you want to call the Washington Examiner Main Stream Media. It was all over the local outlets in Wisconsin, but the Washington Examiner "appears" to be the only periodical with a broad audience that carried it. Here's a short version of the story: The real Wisconsin collective bargaining debacle
Remember the violent and disgusting demonstrations over Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker doing away with the collective bargaining for teacher's unions? The results are in. Some school districts went from a $400,000 deficit to a $1,500,000 surplus as a result. Why?
It seems that the insurance company that provided all the "so-called" benefits to the teachers, was an insurance company owned and operated by the teacher's union. Since they were guaranteed to get the insurance business from the teachers and the State had to pay for it, and not the teachers, they were increasing the annual costs every single year to become the most expensive insurance company in the state. Then the insurance company was donating millions and millions of dollars to their favorite democrat politicians, who when they got elected, guaranteed to keep funding the unions outrageous costs. In other words, the insurance company was a "pass through" for Wisconsin taxpayer money directly to the democrat politicians.
Nice racket, and this is the racket that is going on in every single State that allows collective bargaining. No wonder the States are taking it away. Now that the State of Wisconsin is free to put the insurance contract out for bid, and lo and behold, they have saved so much money it has turned deficits into surplus amounts. As a result, none of the teachers had to be laid off, everyone got a raise, etc., etc., and the taxpayers of Wisconsin don't have to pay more taxes to fund the union's political ambitions. The Washington Examiner version gives more of the incestuous working details and can be read here: washingtonexaminer.com/politics/2011/07/wisconsin-schools-buck-union-cut-health-costs

Thanks ugonow, but I think we will agree that if commenter dominic salvia was to post here and limb by limb dismantle somebody's work like he did to your link the moderators might consider chastizing the originator. Your link was apparently written by a union advertising agent that didn't think anybody would compare it to reality.

Yep, ugonow. sure is, at least two. And every criminal has a right to a lawyer, too. In this case the criminal has been convicted and sentenced, and once again, the "people" are not served by the media.

I think the link does show some exagerations on the Examiner's part, but no doubt this is dirty politics that must be cleaned up. I feel the same way about what goes on with industry lobbys buying legislation and business from the government

Yep, ugonow, that's the very reason I limited the thread to having only scratched the surface of legalized coruption. So rather than just poo poo the information, it might be more helpfully informative if people would comment on legalized corruption as they know of it in more detail. . . . i.e. names, places, events, etc.
If we all just sit back and read anonymous internet message boards and yawn it's difficult to understand how things will ever improve.
But maybe you can explain it.

If the contentions in ugo's rebuttal article prove to be valid (and it seems that anyone could verify them given the time and wherewithal), they certainly shoot the OP to snot.

Lol, I just thought I'd thow it out there......Always at least two sides,ya know. If someone referrs to the Earth as round, we don't need to run out and find someone who says it's flat. Call me John Kerry, but I don't think every single imaginable point of view is relevant- or even valid.
