Anyone else dealing with the new CT withholding calculations. What a friggen pain in the buttocks.
They couldn't just issue a new tax table, no... they have to make it so that you need to do a manual calculation including assumptions about future pay and pay periods.
What a pain.

that is the joy of a legislature and executive that makes a law change during the year that are retroactive to the first of the year...
it's like the "temporary" surcharge on FUTA.... it expired.... but it may come back.... and if you remitted on the lower rate and the rate goes back you will be charged interest on the shortfall, they just will pass on the penalties....
or when NYS gave the MTA its new payroll tax.... what a nightmare when it started.... when the tax was first due was due and no one knew how to remit it....and now the MTA is once again in a financial mess.... that "entity" really needs to go... they are so poorly managed by these political hack appointees
