I wasn't sure how to change the title of my prior vent from May so i decided to just make a new one to update everyone.
I drove this morning to drop my babies off with their grandparents. My lil ones were excited and happy to be going to visit and also the fact that we got to go on a mini road trip was nice too. It's amazing how many "your momma" jokes can be told on a car trip. My son is funny he finally said "mom please no more pity laughs" We even made up a game on the way called find your name (we found letters that spelled out our names on cars and trucks the only catch was it couldn't come from our car) All in all it was a great time to spend with my kids. I am glad I decided to take them there. They are sure to have some great memories from this summer.
I just want to end by saying thank y'all very much for all your kind words and support.

Kudos to you for taking the high road Sealy, and giving the kids and the grandparents the opportunity to enjoy each other. I'm glad it all went well.
I hope you can get some time for yourself while the kids are gone.
My ex's parents live close by, but after our divorce, they were never really interested in spending much time with my kids. They're happy to see them a few times a year. So you are definitely doing the right thing by allowing them to have a relationship. As the kids get older, you'll be able to put them on a plane to see their grandparents. More expensive, but easier, and they can continue to enjoy each other.
