Nature at one time solved the issue of over population. The plagues at one time wiped out more people than wars. But we solved that problem with medical technology and drugs. We solved one problem and now face another. Advacement in technology is always a two edged sword, it solves one problem and creates another. One way is by zero population control. Which means that people are not allowed to have more than one or two children. But that would be hard to control in many countries. Just ask China.

Freedom is the answer, not totalitarianism. If we had embraced freedom and free markets, we wouldn't be in this mess right now. We'd probably have people on Mars.

When I saw this thread up top again, I thought it would have something to do with piano music subverting the American Way. But on topic. Of course they stole the technology from us. To even suggest that people of another country, not to mention another race, could develop such is absurd.

We'd probably have people on Mars. And why would we want that?

This is actually encouraging news. If they're convinced they need this kind of tech-- great. They're obvious advantage is manpower. They have more people in their military than we have men, women, and children combined-- including the 12 million illegals. But, if they'd rather overlook that simple, inexpensive advantage in favor of multi-billion dollar projects like this, then let's keep pretending to be "freaked out" about it, and let them develop whatever they think they need...
