Hi all!
I just read the thread asking the question where the Women in Red Racers threads moved and why we moved the Women in Red Racers threads to a sub-board. The captains and co-captains have been discussing this idea for a few months now and I'm providing the our reasoning for this below. Captains and Co-captains - if there is anything I missed, please add to this post.
Where did the WIRR threads go? We've created our own sub-board for the Women in Red Racers which is found at the top of page of the Women in Red forum.
Why did we move them into their own sub-board?
We did this for several reasons:
1) We thought it would be easier for individuals to find the WIRR information if it was consolidated in one area such as the sub-board.
2) We would like to attract new members and to do this, we thought it was important to have information about what the WIRR mission was, how to participate in the threads, etc. Because this involved creating more threads to house this information, we thought it would be easier for people to have access to this information if it was placed in a sub-board.
3) Because we have so much information related to the WIRR, we thought it was making it difficult for individuals to find other threads that are valuable to this forum (i.e., WIRS, Controlled spending thread, WIR losers, etc.)
I hope this answers everyone's questions and I hope you find the new sub-board a nice place to hang out with the WIRRs! Please invite any friends, family members, co-workers, etc to check out our page -- especially if they are wanting an accountability group to help them pay off their debt!
If you have additional questions, don't hesitate to ask!
Thanks -- Pay-No-Interest

<<Pay-No-Interest>> Just where we want to be in the near future. Just under 2 years if it all works out.

blackcard - do you have a specific question in mind? Are you asking the captains of WIRR if we have a membership goal for 2 years? Or are you saying your goal is to be done with your race in just under 2 years??

I think she means that she wants to "pay no interest" in a couple of years.

Oopsy, I thought that the "Pay-no-interest" was a goal. Not a posters name.
Yes, about 2 more years to becoming debt free, and paying no interest to anyone.
Yes, we have only the mortgage debt. DH never carried a debt in his life, until we bought our home. He always paid cash for everything, clothes, cars, college etc etc. I have "reformed" my old somewhat spendthrift ways, and have begun to see things in a new light, so to speak.
