Banker Gurl, I have no clue how come you can't register. I had to go from Serious this time to seriousthistime. I guess they don't allow spaces or capital letters. Try it again. Maybe it was being finicky when you tried it last time. And try posting your problem on the MSN thread to see if anyone else had the same problem, and if so what they did about it.

Found you all! Just got back from MI. Loved being with family but I'm ready to get back to my regular routine. Too much downtime makes me sad about my dad being sick and all the things that I'm not happy about. Lots to sort out but first thing is to get back to work, the gym, debt payment and my routine and clear my head. And I'll figure out how to paste in photos so I can add to the ridiculously cute pet photos!

How was everyone's christmas? Mine was good, I got clothes and an ipod nano from DBF, so now I'll have something to listen to at the gym .. DBF thought he would be funny since when the ipod was wrapped, it was in the shape of a ring box. He made me stand up and he got down on one knee and said 'here's your present' in front of his family. I opened it and it was the ipod. haha Good thing I wasn't falling for it or I would've kicked his butt! We watch the office ALOT so I think he was trying to be like Jim before he actually proposed to Pam like on the episode where he got down on one knee like he was going to propose then says "I gotta tie my shoe" haha hilarious.
I've got my family's christmas this weekend...I'm kind of excited to be done and get back on track with spending. I'm way off track!

Citi finally fixed my account! They moved my remaining balance to an indefinite 1.99% rate and they reversed the December interest charge of $80. My minimum payment goes from $120 to $35. What a relief! Some wiggle room at least.

Chelsea - I'm glad you had a good Christmas and being a huge Office fan myself, I really enjoyed hearing about dbf's "gag gift." My DH and I just started rewatching the show from the beginning on Netflix and I still laugh even though I've seen all the episodes about a million times.

RR234 - great job on getting Citi to finally do what they were supposed to! Your persistence paid off, you know they were just hoping that if they made you jump through enough hoops you would just give up and pay. They underestimated the lengths we WIRR will go to! I'm glad you have more breathing room now.

We had a good Christmas, spending time with family. Of course, it wouldn't be fun family togetherness without a few tiffs. We are driving from Il to MI this coming weekend to see my stepkids so we are super excited about that. We will get to have Christmas all over again!

Almost had a big fight with my bank. I lent my sister $3,000 short term (less than a few weeks) and she returned the money by mailing me a cashiers check by Priority Mail. It's not guaranteed to be here in 2-3 days, but that's their general delivery time. It took 12 days! We had delivery confirmation so I could see that for much of that time it was stuck between the East Coast and my home. So it finally arrived on Monday. I deposited it right away. Then I noticed that on the deposit slip it says that because of the size of the check, after further review they MAY decide to hold the deposit before it is available to me. Since it was a cashier's check drawn on a major U.S. bank that I had wire-transferred money to a few weeks earlier, it seemed silly, but oh well. Later that evening I get an email from my bank saying I now have insufficient funds. Huh? I didn't write a check against that $3000 and was not in an NSF position before, so why was I in an NSF position now? I fretted most of the night and did not get a good night's sleep, expecting that I would have to march into the bank first thing and raise a ruckus. I set my alarm which I hate to do on a non-workday, got up, checked my bank account online, and found that the $3000 was now available to me, and I was not, and never was, in an NSF position.

I see no one has posted a formatted update. I am going to post my old update here, just to test the formatting.
