Hello all! I've made the transition over and got to keep the same screen name ;D Hoping to get adjusted to this new board quickly. I have a lot of big changes coming up. DBF is moving in any day now! We were waiting for him to get laid off, then decided he was going to move down here by the first week of February regardless, then got lucky and he got laid off last week. So he's packing up and finishing business up in PA before he gets down here to VA. Then it's time for the job search So with all of these transitions things are crazy, but I need to get more dedicated to keeping within my budget, building to endure Murphy strikes better than I did last year, and getting the debts down to help him reach his goal of us upgrading to a house within the next decade. With all that being said, I'll be starting my next race shortly as I start pulling all my numbers together as I do an all around financial check in prep for tax filing!

I did manage to go down over all but mom went up by $140.00. Not much will be happening for extra payments for January. DD and I are flying to AZ to check out Arizona State University. Using my extra payment money to fund the trip... no credit cards being used. Looking forward to doing my taxes hoping to use whatever I get for a refund to go towards extra payments. Will be using this month to look at my budget and see what changes need to be made. Hoping to get back on track in February. Take care everyone.

So far no credit cards were used—waiting to get balance transfer offers in mail so I can consolidate and transfer some of these balances. I know I have to pay Lowes by May or I’ll have to pay back interest so far it’s 400.00 I don’t want that added to balance so I might have to transfer balance if I get an offer before May. I’m looking forward to my extra 2% I will be putting towards my snowball.

He was a good kitty. I miss him.

Very excited for my 2% "raise" via the social security tax cut. That will all be going to debt, as will DH's. I thought about increasing our retirement, but we're actually doing pretty okay there.
Heard back from a job I was excited about. They aren't willing to pay even close to what I make now. Sad. It would have been a nice change.

Raven64 - The website that I used to calculate my new payoff schedule is NFCC (nfcc.org).

Ok time to add up the numbers finally and start Race 2. I think this is going to eventually be an all inclusive race, but at the moment I'm going to exclude my student loans until I graduate and consolidate. So here goes for the remainder of my debts.
PenFed Visa Gold $5,824 PenFed Promise $461 SunTrust Auto Loan $16,078 Mortgage $143,050 Totals $165,413

Obviously my table did not work, and it won't let me delete it either. Sorry for the ugly post. How do you get the table to work?

[/b][/quote] Hiya! You need a [/completion] at the end. All HTML has a beginning and an end, the beginning is [attribute] the end is [/attribute]. You were fine with everything except the end of the table insert. Which, when I tried to put it into my text, I actually completed your table and my reply was lost... it looked funny!

UPDATE: Well, it's really not an update. I actually cannot even fathom computing an update to share... but at the end of this rant, I will Here's where things stand as is: I lost my job back in October and I still cannot find a full-time job. According to unemployment rules, I'm only permitted to work part-time and make up to $140 per week to remain on unemployment. Therefore, I'm only working 2 days a week. Prior to this mayhem in my life, I already needed a part-time job aside from my full-time job at the law firm. Well, economic times hit and they needed to down-size. So here I am, my EF was wiped out, the awesome amounts I was able to pay off on credit cards seems like it never even existed because now everything is basically maxed back out. Sadly, you only earn about 65% of your wages through unemployment, so adding in the $120-$140 per week I make at my part-time job, I'm making the same as I used to before even losing my job. If it's a week where I do earn about $20 extra, it goes right to my EF... sad I know, but it's literally all I can do. I've cut out tons of expenses, and there is nothing left to cut. So here's my updated figures...and pray to God that no more "disasters" happen within our household, because the more I look at what has presided over my life during the last 75 days, it's nauseating. belladisastre: 1/11/11 $24,316.17 (1/20/10 $26,667.02)
CC#1: $13,475.38 CC#2: $1,917.80 CC#3: $2,015.88 CC#4: $761.39 CC#5: $725.66 CL: $4,237.83 SL#1: $574.23 SL#2: $608.00 EF: $52.26 and growing, because I'm still going to remain positive.

ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY UPDATE! I can't believe how the time flies. I can remember sitting in this very seat at my witts end adding everything up. And although I haven't made a huge dent, I know that my debt only would have continued to grow. So I am proud turtle! Going2Improve 1/11/2011 $11,012.69 (1/11/2010 $14,515.85 NEU39)

Greetings. I am here to shamelessly ask for positive thoughts and vibe for Mr. IrishMaude and I. We have found a home in our price range that we LOVE and we feel like we're getting very close to owning a home and accomplishing a goal we have both worked very hard to obtain. We have weighed the pros and cons of owning vs. buying and both have mutually agreed that owning is the more sensible choice for us. So all the luck, positive vibes and thoughts you all can spare would be VERY much appreciated and put to good use! Thanks!!
