reducemydebt - yes, thanks for asking. although hubby spilled the beans on the gender today and i've been having a rough time not being so upset about that. it is such a shame that i had to find out the way i did, while sitting in a nasty quest clinic instead of surrounded by loved ones. but i can't keep thinking about it, i just get extremely upset. it wasn't all his fault, but it was his secret to keep and he isn't too bright, obviously

nasa I am sorry your DH suffers from Y-chromosome syndrome. He will do something cute in the near future to make you not want to smack him with a frying pan. Just remember, he loves you

nasa *Hugs* all for you. It's alright to get upset, just don't let it drag you down too long. You're going to have a baby! Which is very exciting and joyful and emotional. Also, you're not dumb, you make smileys appear for the Dixie Debtanators, which is awesome. Maybe you can get DH to take you out for a 'I-am-sorry-I-messed-up-but-I-beg-for-life-and-not-the-death-penalty' dinner. J/K, but maybe a 'date night' would be a nice treat.
A couple of weeks ago, dBF left the toilet lid open (for the i don't know how many-ith time) and my kitty fell in. Then he had to wash said wet kitty in the sink. I don't think that kitty appreciated the 'extra' attention. By the time they were done, I had an additional wet kitty, a clean kitty in a towel and a wet dBF in a towel. DBF has now taken to calling that kitty Michael Phelps. (This is not intended to be on the same scale of no-nos but maybe that will make you smile)

CarolinaKat: luckily, my cat doesn't fall in any longer. I hate it when I see him drinking from the toilet. Loved the story. I washed my cat once and luckily all he did was mumble under his breath the whole time. Now, occasionally he'll join me in the shower. I still don't think he understands that cats aren't supposed to like water.
Nasa: Um, did I miss something? Do WE know the sex of the baby too? Nah, you don't have to tell....you'll let us know in a couple months, right? And if we do the Orlando meet-up, when are you due? I am going to be there on Feb 19 for a workshop. I'm thinking of going up on Friday night and spending the night just so I don't have to get up early and drive. Men...can't live with them and you can't beat them with a stick.
cleanslate: don't feel like a nerd being excited about payday just so you can pay your bills! I do it all the time. And then I go back to my spreadsheet and adjust and finagle and move numbers around. I wait 7 days and do it all over again. You sound like you are in a much better frame of mind. Good job!
Today was a "Monday" for sure. I'm not even sure if I want to deal with the Tuesday....

Oh, and only 45 more posts until I get another shiny star. I promise not to do 45 single-word posts just to get there. There is always chain word, hehe Speech, I would love to meet up with you if you have time for a drink while you are in O town. I am also a nerd when it comes to payday. I get paid on the 15th and 30th and sit at my desk at work paying bills and reconciling my check book (it is ok because I also work late plenty of days and my boss understands that I don't take advantage of the freedoms he gives me). I also use mint.com and every morning I check that and my 401K balance from home. I spend more time thinking about money then almost anything else! Clean I really am pulling for you Just a couple of months and hopefully your bonus will be big enough to make a huge dent in your Target CC. Nasa I wouldn't be too hard on him - he loves you and probably was bursting at the seams to tell you How is the job going?

ForwardWeGo, SuzWantsToBeFree RedRacerRis, MuffyInTheRed & CraftySarah: Awww! Thank ya'll for the kind words! I just hate it when someone passes off meanness as constructive criticism. It really gets my back up and helps no one... CraftySarah: Kudo's on winning big! LOL! I was also excited to do my taxes and I sent them in last weekend! ;D Financial Freedom: Welcome To WIRR's! You will love it here! if you need assistance or have any other questions, just let us know! ReduceMyDebt: Thank you for you well wishes with the bathroom. It is finally done, thank goodness! Sending good juju's your way that your tax return is excellent! NasaGreen: I had to borrow money once from my parents years ago and am just now starting to pay it back so I know how you feel! I was horribly embarrassed but my folks sat me down and told me that sometimes we need a little help and it made them happy that they could do so. It did take the pressure off and I am giving them a little extra just because... Oh, I just read your latest post and am sorry you found out the way you did... maybe one day you can look back on it and laugh but in the meantime.... MILK IT FOR ALL IT'S WORTH... I hope you and your DB have fun on your own date night Speechchick You are getting so close to being debt free I can't wait to see your next update! ready4achange: You went in the right direction! Down I hope your coupon class teaches a lot of great secrets that you can share with us on the boards. Nice job! Nasa I can see why you are disappointed that your husband spilled the beans - I'm sure he feels equally as bad. I hope he can make it up to you someway - BTW, thanks for creating the awesome smiley notepad. I hope I can keep it looking as good as you have it! Now for the Smileys - I think I'm going to like this new system better. Hi Guys and Girls!!!
I have decided to delete my account on the Proboards. It has been a pleasure getting to know all of you but truthfully I don't have the desire to continue on here. When we were on MSN's boards it was a lot different then it is here and because of the nasty remarks that were hurled my way tonight on another board I have decided to go my own way.
I hope everyone wins their races and stays with the debt paydown lifestyle. Best of luck.

suzwantstobefree- today I read the comments on a very controversial subject where there will always be strong opinions voiced and also hurtful comments made by some people. Sometimes by people who only say mean things to get a rise out of others, they are cowards for using the boards like that. I read the board Suz, I believe the OP just wanted to start a fight and that is what happened.
We will miss you so much if you leave. I was looking forward to seeing how you met your goals and all that, not to mention I enjoy reading your posts. Can't you just stay here with us the South Region?

SUZ i am sorry they got nasty with you on that other board. You do not deserve that. But just ditch them and stay with us like younggrasshopper suggests, K? Nasa doggone it on the secret blown, i'm sorry to hear that. Heck i was almost mad at my DH out of sympathy. Hang in there! How many weeks until you get to meet your new little someone face-to-face? Pay-no-interest Thanks for the updates. And BIG thanks to all the captains and co-captains for their valuable contributions. CarolinaKat your DBF is a lucky fella... your sense of humor cracks me up . Southern WIRRs i appreciate you all!

Suz - is something going on? From what you've posted on the boards regarding the struggles you've triumphed over, your determination, and overall success in life, quitting the entire boards b/c of what some idiot said on another board doesn't sound like you!
We all have the power to choose who we want to be surrounded by and the beauty of the WIRR boards (most threads) have created an environment of support, love (sometimes tough love) to help us all move forward and become better people. You can choose to only look at the WIRR-S board and get the love and support you need to conquer your debt. Besides, we need your support and we want to celebrate with you the day you win your race.
I hope you check us out one more time before you call us quits for good.

Suz Please don't leave us We all love you here on WIRR and you give great advice and encouragement. Maybe you should stay out of the other forums for a while, but we would really really miss you. I'm sure the ladies on the savers thread would agree. I really hope you re-consider totally leaving. I also agree with younggrasshopper they were looking to start a fight, I'm sorry you got rolled up into that. speech The cat was one of the kittens that i took in a few weeks ago. He jumped right up onto the toilet, absolutely sure that the lid was there...aaaaannnnd splash! He and his sister have found new homes since and my mother has 'adopted' the other brother. She just hasn't told Dad yet Although at last update, my dad is carrying him around in his jacket pocket during the day. It's too funny your cat gets in the shower, I have a mental image of a kitty sitting in the tub and 'singing' in the shower. Mine like to sit outside the door and watch the water run down the inside forward You're too sweet. I hope DBF agrees with you payno I don't want to seem whiney, but i didn't see my smileys. I will have an update the first of next month, but i don't want to be dropped in the mean time. I thought i'd done my Jan one...

Awww man Nasa that's a bummer! I have a friend who was also waiting till she gave birth to find out what she was having, and she was almost there too! Everybody knew about her wishes so at her baby shower everyone brought neutral items except one lady, one of the few who had been trusted with the secret by the expecting father. This lady decided she wanted to give pink baby clothes and that was that. My poor friend was so hurt and angry it took her a while to stop crying at her own baby shower.

I'm sorry that your surprise was ruined, Nasa. But I hope in time you can get excited about the other surprises yet to come from that little peanut.
Sad news about Suz. I hope she decides to come back some day, but failing that, I hope she continues to knock out her debt on her own.

payno I update in the first week of the month, so it would've been around p 5 or so. My smileys were in the update that nasa did, but i was confused as to why they were not in yours. but if you're only posting for updates on pages 10-12 then it makes sense. I just wanted to make sure that I didn't get dropped from the list

CarolinaKat - I normally don't really laugh at much but I was lol at this! Hahaha! Too funny about your dad carrying the kitten in his pocket too You shouldn't have gotten dropped, maybe there was an error on your line and your name disappeared. I still have you on the sheet though. If it doesn't get adjusted for the last smilies, I'll be sure to get it this update. Thanks for letting us know. speech - haha! I told everyone yesterday, my mom is excited. IT'S A GIRL...which is what I was secretly hoping for...in a weird way I was totally prepared not to get what I wanted because I know each baby is a precious gift. And DH had me really thinking it was a boy. I'm due 4/22. I just hit 6 months. Sooo, Feb would be perfect. Where in Orlando will you be? suz - my job is blah. but i'm happy i have it and job security is pretty good (well, who ever knows really). so hopefully it will get better day by day. sometimes we don't have enough to do! I also hope you stick with us on the South board! We are sorry to see you go...for reals. I never do see what happens on the other boards because I am only on WIR>South. elderkind - thanks. I'm excited now. Just took an emotional outburst to get me through. At least I didn't do it at work. And I called in sick yesterday to recover freshnewday - i know right, but now it is exciting and does make it more real. paynointerest - great job with the update, yes I think it is actually easier now. it just always takes a few trials and errors to find an easier route he did feel bad but now says i told you so because i'm excited about it. he thinks it was stupid for me not to want to know. i probably won't try it again anyways, i'll just find out if there is a next time. younggrasshopper - Yeah, it was a bummer. Yeah, I can imagine what scene I would have made at a baby shower! As it was, I was in the midst of a bunch of crazies at the blood draw test center...in a not nice part of town. Oh well. Cest la vie. Can't win them all! craftysarah - thanks I'm much better now. I agree about suz, hopefully she'll change her name and just stick with us nicer people on WIRR. The name we have right now is Amelia Marie M. So that has a nice ring to it. M is the last name first initial. Very Irish, and I wanted to be a pilot/astronaut really badly (that didn't work out very well) but I love Amelia Earhart so it fits me very well too. However, the middle name Marie is very generic and not to my taste. It is DH's maternal grandmother's name. I don't think I'll win the battle, but I like more unique old-fashioned names. My mom thinks I'm crazy, but my favorite is Clementine. I know, I know, don't worry this baby won't get saddled with that name, DH wouldn't let me do it (unless he passes out, hehe) and my second fav is Cordelia (family name) but DH says you don't screw a child up psychologically with a rhyming name...Amelia Cordlia is a hoot. So it probably will stay what we have right now, even though I don't LOVE LOVE LOVE the middle. Marriage is all compromise, why didn't someone tell me this before?

nasa - CONGRATS!! i'm so happy you're doing better with the whole baby thing. i really like the names you have - amelia marie - it has such a pretty ring to it. and even though you like unique names, i think the history of the names is better. when people ask why those names you have a little story to tell.
