Wow.. This place has really taken off over the last 24 hrs. It's both exciting and scary all at the same time, if you know what I mean!

Obviously, I can't be a one-woman show. I wouldn't even want to be. As I've said elsewhere, I believe the fairest method of choosing additional mods is to let all of YOU vote them in. I am also proposing "term limits", so that no one gets burnt out, or too comfortable with a position of power. It'll give more people who want to do so the chance as well.

So, if you're interested, post to this thread. In a few days, I'll put up a poll and let the voting begin.

Also, I want to give a huge thanks to EVERYONE for helping to make this place rock ..

Do I WANT to be a moderator? Not particularly. I have trouble logging on most of the day because my teaching duties interfere. But I am WILLING to be a moderator if you need one while this place is getting established. I am definitely expendable, though, when more qualified people migrate.

How many mods are you going to have? Will they moderate all boards or specific boards? You can use the poll system to vote.

Hmmm... Miss Margarita and I seem to have the same initials (MM).

Anyway, I volunteered over in the Smart Spending area to be a Moderator. I promise NOT to run this place like a business. I'm thinking it's more a combination of an elementary school playground, a junior-high school sleepover, happy hour, and a congressional junket/debate. (grin)

I would like to be a mod for the YM board. I have owned a proboards forum before and am familiar with the moderator functions. I have also been a YM community member since 2003 (different screen name until 2006).
