Hill) — House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi praised President Obama for finally jumping into the fray with House Democrats against Republican priorities on taxes, the debt ceiling and job creation.
In a statement after an animated Obama spoke at a press conference on Wednesday, Pelosi (D-Calif.) implied that House Democrats have been fighting alone for their party’s priorities without Obama so far this year.
“Bravo! This is the fight House Democrats have been making for the last six months under the Republican Majority as they move to end Medicare and continue tax breaks for Big Oil,” Pelosi said in a statement.
In his news conference, Obama chastised Republicans on not wanting to raise taxes on the rich, ending tax subsidies on oil companies and for accusing him of not leading on raising the debt ceiling.

I really enjoy when Pelosi runs her mouth and then liberals are obligated to support her. It's always fun to see them trying to smile through a mouthful of BS...

Ms. Pelosi has a responsibility to toe the party line. We shouldn't begrudge her that.

Ms. Pelosi has a responsibility to toe the party line. We shouldn't begrudge her that. Actually I thought her responsibility was to her constituents and to the people of America, but party line is so much better I guess.

To do right by the people of America, the ruling party would need to levy taxes, cut Medicaid and Medicare to the bone, reduce public sector wages by 30%, fire 20% of all public sector workers, impose a 35% haircut on all public sector entitlements, cease all military activity in the middle east immediately and indefinitely, hunt down and repatriate taxes from at least forty administration-friendly multinationals, terminate upwards of 160 minor government agencies, seal the southern border and either grant amnesty to or deport all illegal immigrants, forswear ever setting up a "carbon credits" system, repeal Gramm–Leach–Bliley, impose sales taxes on gasoline and minor consumer goods, replace 90% of the staff at the SEC, abandon Obamacare, shut down 35% of US domestic military bases, and raise interest rates.
If Ms. Pelosi came out and said this, the Democrats would get approximately 0.15% of the vote come 2012 (assuming Ms. Pelosi wasn't carted away in a straightjacket first).
So party line it is.
