I have been covering for other teachers for the summer. I really have been working too much, so not much time for hounding. Plus, my stockpile is huge!

I think that's awesome SuziQ. You're working a lot, so you can just grab things from your stockpile. I think it's easy for people outside of the couponing world to think this (couponing) is some sort of crazy thing. But it's really just part of being an organized, frugal person. Way to go

Way to go I hear ya SuziQ and Leanna! That stockpile comes in handy in all sorts of situations! We had to live off of our stockpile from about May until now because I've got a little bun in the oven. ;D For a good 3 months, I've been so and exhausted that I can do little more than work and do what I can to help out DH with DD. My due date is December 13th so I have some time to increase my diaper/wipes stockpile. I've started to feel better the fast few weeks and I've tried to ramp up the hounding a bit. Still don't have the time/energy for WAGs and RA, but I'm trying to hit CVS every 2 weeks or so. Still hounding those groceries the best I can. Can never have too much non-perishables!

MissPT - Got the WhoNU cookie q's. Thanks! That was fast! For RA shoppers... Keep your eyes out for a $2 RA skincare coupon on your receipt. Can be used to get some cheap lotion. Could be good if you need to get a few cents over $15 to use the survey q. Leanne: I got two of them tonight. Do you know of any good Rite Aid brand facial products?

leanna and debinwa: I will pity party with both of you! as I bought my reach toothbrushes yesterday, too, and then realized as I was finishing the transaction that my $4 in UPs had expired on the 23rd . I was so frustrated with myself! babs: I got the danimals coupons today, thank you so much!!!! I really appreciate them. Kroger: My ad runs through tomorrow, so I did one more mega event run and saved 71%! It's been a long time since I have saved that much on food.

Leanne: I got two of them tonight. Do you know of any good Rite Aid brand facial products? I haven't tried any of the RA brand lotions or soaps etc. But I smelled the RA version of Vaseline lotion with Aloe & it smelled good. So, I'm going to buy one of those probably this coming Sunday (or sooner.) It costs $2.99 regular retail. Those $2 q's have a nice long expiration date - 8/31/11 so perhaps some of the RA brand skincare products will have some good sales. I think next week it's buy one, get half off or something like that, so since you got 2 q's that might work out nicely.

Kroger: My ad runs through tomorrow, so I did one more mega event run and saved 71%! It's been a long time since I have saved that much on food. Too funny...I guess I'm not the only one who "oops-ed" on the Reach toothbrushes! The Reach toothbrushes was my "back up" purchase. I hadn't even planned to go to RA on Sunday...I hadn't seen any deals. But then I realized I could do the Mitchum, and I needed Kleenex. But I had a survey q so I needed something to get me over the $15 threshold. I was hoping they would have my Noxzema razors in that I have a raincheck for. But that RA didn't so I substituted the toothbrushes in to get over the $15. I hope that all made sense...it does in my head...lol... Then later in the evening I went to my bigger RA, got the kids sunglasses and they had the Noxzema razors, so I'm grateful to MizzBear for those q's she sent me cause I love me my free razors! Wow - 71% on food - MissPT - that is seriously awesome! I am really stretching these days to save anything on food.

Gals, is this bad?
I just read online that at Kmart one can get the Pure Silk shaving cream for free this week since they are doubling coupons up to .99. (I guess the price is $1.59 or something.
I am just going DOH! because I bought it at Wags yesterday. I know 19 cents is seriously awesome for shaving cream but I can't believe I didn't know you could get it for free at K-mart. I was just at K-mart yesterday as well - GROAN!

Buying the (2) packages is the better deal at $1.50/12 pack vs (3) packages at $1.75/12 pack. I have (3) coupons but doing the deal at all will be ENTIRELY dependent on the 8/7 ad. I want to make sure that I'm going to get the most bang for my buck with the RR. If I have to just "burn it" on something that I don't really need, it is not a good deal for me as my OOP for (2) packages of the TP will be $7.33; otherwise I LOVE this deal.

SaveinLA - that WAS me - good memory!
I've never gotten a catalina at K-mart....so hopefully all will go well with this. I'm going to try to get there tomorrow. Evidently the deal is on 2 ply as well as 1. My Wags only carries 1 ply, so I wouldn't do it at Wags, as I am only allowed to buy 2 ply otherwise I will be in the doghouse.
DancinMama - So true, so true. And, I can honestly say, despite my complaints about the test market issues, I have gotten so many freebies the past few years at Wags. Oh yeah, and I used a $4 RR to pay for my items on Sunday so not having the shaving cream in my order means my total wouldn't have been high enough.

My one Rite Aid that recently opened is still having fantastic "grand opening" sales. It is in a town that I don't travel to very much, about 15 miles away in the opposite direction of work, BUT, it is in the same town as my vet. Lo and behold, the kitty has a vet appt Thursday, so, I will get to stop for a bunch of freebies! None of them are Ups deals, but, almost all will be free with coupons, so, free is free! Some examples: Skintimate, .99 (Free w/Q!) Clean & Clear, 2/7 (Overage w/MC and in-ad Q!) Finesse, .99 (Free w/Q!) Advil/Thermacare, 2.99 (freap/free with $4/2 Q, combined with 3/15 survey!) Charmin Ultra 4 pk., 1.88, (freap w/ $1/2 MC and 3/15 survey!) I only want to use one survey Q since I'm almost out (only one more after this one) so I've gotta figure out how to best maximize my Q's for the best deals. I'd like to do 2 transactions for better odds of getting another survey. I should be able to get everything above for close to 0 oop and no Ups used! How awesome is that?! ;D

I had a good experience with CVS yesterday. I did 2 transactions, the first one was the Soft Soap/Speed Stick deal, bought three, used Q's, and also got the U by Kotex tampons, used a Q on that too. Paid for it all with a ECB, plus got back $3.00 ECB and $2.00 ECB for the Soft Soap/Speed Stick and Kotex.
But my biggest score -- the Schick razor and shaving cream deal. Finally. For some reason I don't always get the same Q's as others, but this time I did get the Schick Q's. So I did the deal buy $20 get $10 in ECB. The only unfortunate thing is I didn't get Skintimate because THAT Q wasn't in my newspaper insert. Why, who knows! Figures, and I love Skintimate shaving cream.
So now I have $3.00, $2.00 and $10.00 in ECB to use, so I will plan my trips carefully to hopefully get items free. I checked my account on line and I am only half way to the free beauty deal of spend $50 get $5.00 ECB. I have looked at cvs.com to see when this expires, does anyone know? Or is it ongoing?
Nickyleey - Thanks for the Cottonelle deal on WAGS. TP is the one item I haven't stockpiled, so you can bet that Sunday morning I will be there! But I have a question - my WAGS wouldn't let me use two Q's when I had another transaction a few weeks ago -- I forget what I was buying, but I had a MQ, and the WAGS booklet Q, and the register beeped, said I couldn't use 2 Q's for only 1 item, that I had to have at least two items in the transaction to use 2 Q's. Your Cottonelle scenario would use 2 WAGS booklet Q's, and 2 mfg Q's which is 4 Q's, for 2 packages of toilet paper. So for this scenario to work for me I would need to get a 2 more items in my transaction? Also, the last time I was in WAGS, the cashier mumbled something about the RR I was using is also considered a Q, so that even further limits what I can use for a small transaction with only one or two items.

munjoy There are a few IP's (internet printables) out for Skintimate right now. $1.50/1 cream, $.75/1 gel, and $1/1 (any, I think). You can to to hotcouponworld.com, search the database and print from there.
You should NOT need fillers at Wags when using the booklet Q's. These do not count in the number of Q's = number of items. I'm not sure what the item was you were buying, but it might have just been something wonky with the IVC. They have been known to beep for no reason sometimes. Or, if using the IVC and MC brought your total less than 0, then that would also cause beepage. If you used a MC, an in-ad or IVC Q AND a RR, then, yes, you would need an item for a filler. Your RR counts as a MC that you need to have an item for. You should not need any fillers to do the TP deal.

YEAH!! I found a great use for the Cottonelle RR at WAGs and it is in the 7/31 ad. If I don't find anything better in the 8/7 ad, here's what I'll do.
First, I will buy the Cottonelle. OOP will be $7.33 (including tax) and I'll get the $3.50RR.
Then I'll use the RR and some Coffeemate coupons to get (8) bottles of Coffeemate and (1) $.11 folder (filler) for and addtional $.52 OOP.
So, $7.85 OOP for (2) 12-packs of TP and (8) Coffeemate creamers!! Works for me. ;D
NOTE: The coffeemate coupons were sent in emails to me, DH, DS, and my mom. I was hoping for an IP for them in the HCW database, but no such luck. MAYBE there will be a coupon in Sunday's inserts so others who want it can get cheap Coffeemate. Look at the stock during the week, cuz this is a great rain check price!! ;D

Unfortunately, it is only ONE print per computer. HOUND ALERT: IF anyone does not use Coffeemate or does not have a WAGs and has a couple of computers/email addresses that they can print from and wouldn't mind printing a couple of these for me (they are only good to the first 100K people), I would REALLY appreciate it AND IF that person happens to have an extra $.75/1 Cottonelle from the 7/17 SS, it would allow me to do the Cottenelle/Coffeemate deal twice. No pressure though. If I can only do the deal once and I have all the coupons that I need to do that, I'll be happy. ;D

oreo and saveinla:
Thanks for the San Diego store info. He will be living a block or two from a Ralph's so good to know that they will double q's. So, I gave him two $1 Ortega taco shell q's. If I understand correctly, he could use only one per transaction at Ralph's which would double to $2? But he could use both at Vons, right? Or if the q is already $1, neither store will double to $2???
Can you tell we've never had double coupons around here! ;D

oreo and saveinla:Thanks for the San Diego store info. Can you tell we've never had double coupons around here! ;D murphath, Sorry for the confusion. Neither of these stores will double any Q above 1$ unless they have some special deal going on. Any Q below 1$ can be doubled - only 1 at Vons and after that they will take it at face value and multiples at Ralphs. HTH
