I just had my third egg dish in three days..have all this guilt and concern, but I was in a hurry, not a lot of time, hungry and when opened the fridge to look..there they were ..again ..and 1/2/3..finished , full ...and full of guilt. To me eggs are the easiest food to do something quick with and be able in a very short time fulfill a quick ,different filling meal but ever since the "cholesterol " thing..so much guilt. I know the egg beaters..buy them some times...didn't have any this time..and i know we can know safely more eggs, I think, hard to keep up. Any one else have a favorite item that fills the criteria..fast, filling, semi healthy, nutritious if not to much...a table spoon of peanut butter straight not to be counted or others such of it's ilk.

don't feel bad about the cholesterol in eggs. Eggs are good for you again.

Love pasta and garlic. Usually make something with wholewheat noodles and garlic. Maybe it's my heritage. Usually use shrimp and clams a wee bit of butter and cream. I know it sounds fattening but I work out as much as possible. Not thinking so healthy but maybe it's the part Italian in me. Thank God I'm 5' 10" and can carry the extra weight. I love pasta and make my own sauces from the tomatoes we grow in our garden. Soon or later might catch up on us. God forbid!!!

Home made bean burritos with cheese. They're fast and filling. I try to buy the fat free refried beans.

My go to meal has been either tortellini with olive oil, garlic and black pepper (costco has some great frozen tortellini that takes all of about 2 minutes to cook), or naan with hummus and tomato

My current go to meal is chili - a can of chili, a can of Rotel tomatos for kick, and maybe an additional can of beans - ok that actually makes 3 meals - and not one... A quick pan of corn bread and it's perfect.

Frozen mixed veggies, broc, carrots and cauliflower are a quick start to a filling meal. Put some in water and start them boiling. If you have 20 minutes you can make rice with them, some chicken or beef and ginger you can make stir fry pretty easy.
I like eggs too but sometimes I am just hungry and will eat an apple and cheese because it is very fast. You could start rice cooking then go eat a fruit while you wait. A banana and glass of milk will get your blood sugar up quick.
