I said those consuming the service would be getting it paid for by others- involuntarily. That system has worked well in Europe for quite a while. /ducks EUROPE?!? That's your example? Unfortunately, this discussion is over. Mind you, I didn't choose to end it, I just have nowhere to go when someone points at failure and says it's working.

SF-- I finally got around to reading your McKinsey link. That's pretty damning, isn't it?? Good link. I HATE it when articles are just too long to post, so I just post links, then people skip them..

WCP I knew (or someone else) would say that thus the /duck. However, it most certainly was the educational systems of Europe that caused the recent collapse.

I guess I'd better go read. Why did he want it? To force the issue. The object of the ObamaCare bill is to kill private health insurance so the government can take it over. Even without this it would break, yes? I guess this makes it a sure thing, you're right. What an unmitigated mess. It must be stopped.

If it's working so well in Europe why aren't more people moving to Europe? Oh, maybe it's been explained. Maybe I just found out why. It's right here. Why go to Europe when a new and improved edition is coming here: To force the issue. The object of the ObamaCare bill is to kill private health insurance so the government can take it over.

I think everyone should have free health care. It should be considered a basic right just like education. 1. No such thing as free, you pay one way or another. 2. Given the terrible job that the government does with education, do you REALLY want them to also be involved in health care??!?!?

They also run the post office, the Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid programs.

"Education isn't a right, either. "
Actually, yes it is. Article #26 of the Universal Declaration Of Human Rights.

Correct, Snerdley. I hear pro Obamacare people talking about rationing on their private plans, and costs soaring, etc, as an argument FOR Obamacare, and it just does not make sense to me that anyone can think there will be LESS rationing, and LESS cost increase, by adding MILLIONS more people to what amounts to Medicaid, causing businesses to MILLIONS more into what amounts to Medicaid. HOW will this improve anything?? I don't see it no matter how objectively I try to look at it. The numbers don't add up.
