After Two Years, It's STILL a 53% to 42% Issue

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 53% of Likely Voters at least somewhat favor repeal of the health care law, while 42% at least somewhat oppose it. Those figures include 38% who Strongly Favor repeal and 27% who are Strongly Opposed. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Support for repeal shows little change from a week ago. Most voters have supported repeal every week but one since Congress passed the law in March of last year, with that support running as high as 63%.

Thirty-two percent (32%) of voters believe the health care law will be good for the country. Forty-nine percent (49%) think the new law will be bad for the country, while only seven percent (7%) believe it will have no impact. Eleven percent (11%) are undecided.

The number who think the measure will be good for the country has ranged from 32% to 41% since its passage. Those who view the measure as bad for the country have ranged from 45% to 57% in that same period.

the reasons WHY people want repeal is, i think, very important.

roughly HALF the people want MORE from the law. roughly HALF want LESS. that means that if the bill was modified to give either more or less, it would garner another 25%, and the numbers would be exactly the opposite of those you have posted.

iow, you are only looking at the repeal half. strengthening the bill would also be a popular move.
