Pretty good, kinda quiet, it's raining cats and dogs here. How's your day?

Sometimes a rainy day can be nice. My day is ok. I'm debating if I should go furniture shopping today. I want to replace pretty much everything in one of my living rooms.

Not when it's pouring and you have to park 90 miles from the door at work. New furniture? Does it have a new furniture smell like a new car has one? I think that the only thing I've ever bought new was an entertainment center you have to assemble. lol

Yea, walking 90 miles in the rain could be a bit of a downer. I love the new car smell. I dunno if my couches and chair will have a new furniture smell. I hope so.

ok, maybe 90 yards but that's still a long way when it's raining sideways.
Anything in mind on the furniture or are you just going to look until you find something you like?

I think I know what I want but may change my mind when I see other things. In my mind I want dark brown leather in a traditional style and probably oak end tables. But I'll look and see.

We always laugh at the guy eating the banana (well, not if it were on oatmeal). We are all pervs at work, we can't help it. Last night I watched my DVD of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but I watched an episode with commentary. In one scene the guy was standing there eating a banana, and the writer/producers/stars said "When you have doubts about the scene, just have someone eating a banana." And then they went on to mention other scenes where they had someone standing there eating a banana. I will say it lightened up a scene that is pretty dark - so it worked. Now you know the trick to comedy.

The ONLY way I like oatmeal is if it is in cookie form. OK, maybe in bread or another baked goodie...but plain oatmeal is disgusting and wrong in sooo many ways. I will confess I have tried to eat oatmeal - I've done the instant, the quick oats, and the steel cut oats and I have tried the crock pot recipe. The texture was all wrong for me...I then tried to fry the made oatmeal to harden it up (sorta like a oatcake) that didn't work, all I got was a goopy, burned in some areas and liquidity everywhere else mess in the pan. I than took what was left and put it on a baking sheet and into the oven thinking that it would harden and I could eat them as bars. I had the stuff in the oven for over 40 minutes on 350 and it didn't harden it up one bit. This was very depressing for me because I LOVE to bake - especially cookies and I could not figure out how to fix the damn disaster my kitchen had turned into. It took me over a hour to scrub everything clean!

Really...cause I'm a guy? I do have two couches in microfiber suede. I like how it looks and feels, but it seems to get dirty all the time. if any liquid spills on it at all, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

I don't like my oatmeal thick. I don't like my oatmeal thin. I like my oatmeal to be "juuuuuust right".

Jen, LMAO!!! Why do I think it's about something else and not oatmeal? I like mine thick and banana nut flavored. I also like my oatmeal that way.
