Barack Obama is the most reactionary president in the recent history of the United States. Obama seems intent on turning back the clock to the good old days of the 1960s and 1970s, when Richard Nixon ruled
Really unfair to speak ill of the dead.

Obama copying LBJ??? THAT is funny. He really has no true identity, does he? He flits from one thing to another and back again, then turns left, then right, then.. vacation to reproup... Crazy times we are living in..

Obama doesn't even give any credit to the man whose ideas he is copying. Nobody EVER mentions Lyndon Johnson. . .
Now I didn't like President Johnson...but even so....He was a politician. President Obama might have been perceived as a real politician if he could control his mouth & what comes out of it. But he can't

For the first time President Obama & I could agree on something. Can I pick how far we go back in time?

Now I've got Cher's "If I could turn back time" song running through my head. Arrgh... earworm! I really enjoy Victor Davis Hanson's columns... you'd never know he's a Democrat.

Obama keeps saying he is sorry to see that the recovery is not producing jobs fast enough to save his job.. So does this mean we are about to see new ideas from the White House for spurring growth of jobs and wages?? No instead all we will see is Obama badmouthing the Republicans and blaming them for his failures. Or he may adopt Republican ideas being proposed to him by lowering the costs of hiring and cutting corporate taxes which could send his liberal base of support down the toilet..

Wrong if you knew about this issue you would know that the Republicans want to lower taxes on corporations and on the rich..The President needs to lead by advancing new ideas that will work and then fighting for them instead of wasting his time campaigning around the nation to fatten his campaign war chest....IMHO

Eh...just a different brand of pasta to throw at the wall and see if it sticks. ;D How about putting more money in consumers pockets and help them to re negotiate their home loans?? Increase tax exemptions. Establish government jobs for the long term unemployed. We have @40% of youths aged 18 to 24 unemployed in our inner cities and they are just hanging out on street corners looking to make a quick buck or two. Supply side economics doesn't seem to have worked so how about demand side economics instead??

Obama Wants to Turn Back Time
I don't know about that but as our Commander in Chief, I think Obama needs to make a plain and coherent argument for the Libyan, Iraq, and Afghanistan Missions. He needs to spell out the troop withdrawal proposals and schedules to satisfy the publics need for this; as well as update us on the progress towards the budget issues that are being chaired by Joe Biden..
The publics mood in this country has really soured lately on our wars and our economy IMHO as observed in my travels back to MA which is a haven for political wonks

Somehow he's also copying Bush and Carter. Note the lack of real of any real comparisons.
And Somalia and Latin America remind us how gutting taxes don't work. Heck, why aren't the Bush Tax cuts working now?
Were you in one of those sleep chambers from 2001-2008?

Oh man it's so hard to DO anything and keep your friends when you've lied to each and every single person about what you represent and who you are!
I guess it doesn't pay to get elected as a blank canvas upon whom people may project their dreams willy nilly. It makes for a president who is about as real as Milli Vanilli.www.moonbattery.com/ObamaVanilli.jpg L kee!

60's- We HAD a living wage, ethical businesses, cheap colleges, relatively better health care, all being reformed (Medicare/aid, civil rights, war on poverty, etc etc., it was a golden age, and the Vietnam war and ALL the rest had not been perverted by Nixon and ongoing Pubs, with the TOTAL denouement we had with Bush and neocons and hill billyism LOL. Finally we're back on the right path, after 43 years....HAHA

You see, this is what postponing the payment for future generations does. We're the future generations for the 60's crowd...and the future generations for us will be in even worse shape.
