mid, this will be the only reply to you that you will ever see from me. You have made it very obvious that you are here to cause problems. Within the realm of boards who have any kind of longevity, you are considered a troll . I moderated a board of over 18,000 users for years and I personally know how to handle users like yourself. I'll state my position then you will never get a reaction out of me again. After all, that is what forum trolls look for and I don't feed trolls.
What I'm concerned about is the fate of this entire board. Moon has already expressed frustration close to the point of no return. Unfortunately I believe she has brought it on herself by being nice and allowing one nasty troll to create a high level of anxiety. It is a domino effect and you are the cause of it, mid. When you were not around there were arguments and there were debates but it has only gotten to this level of anxiety when you've been allowed to play. Two times now you've been able to bring out the worst in others on this board.
Mods, the root cause of the high level of anxiety is due to allowing mid to start posting again (if this is not mid it's his frickin' twin, writing style is identical and so is the attitude). If any of you get to the point where you're going to shut down the board I'd suggest getting rid of the worst instigator first and seeing what happens. The general level of anxiety will fall and things will begin to return to a dull roar instead of a screaming match.

Maui's posting style doesn't match Mid's. Their vocabularies don't match. They don't use the same idioms. Their geographic regions don't match, nor do their IPs. The mod reports are seen by 18 some pairs of eyes, Mr. Glide, none of whom agree with your analysis.
Nor do we have any idea who you are. I assume that since you first registered in December, you were a regular on the old MSN boards.

my responses in red Everyone knows this is Mid.
NO, THEY DON'T. And quite frankly, I am fed up with people ASSuming that person A is also person D and maybe person X as well.
If the mods using ip tools then Mid is spoofing his. It's him and he was banned permanently before for causing major issues on the board. Why in the world would any of you allow him to continue to do this.
you can rest assured that i am confident this isn't mid. as in, 100% certain. So when you post this kind of crap, it too stirs up yet more bad feelings and strife.
If this board fails it is a reflection of the moderation.
heard it all before.
You guys are letting this board fall apart by catering to users like maui (Mid). He is obviously trying to bait FTI every way he possibly can. Who started the BS today? It was maui (Mid) first thing right off the bat (no pun int).
I don't know who gets this report so I'm pm'ing all of the mods I am familiar with. I have a feeling if it's Virgil who gets these reports it will go nowhere.
the reports to mod to to ALL mods whether they mod this board, or not. we all discuss them.
Guess I can't pm them since I haven't posted yet so I'll just put it here.
you don't have to post in order to be able to PM. i see you've figured that out.
No, I don't post I'm just a reader who's fedup with Mid. Thought for sure you guys were done with Mid a while back but I guess not. I really hope this board survives but if you let maui continue to cause problems eventually there will be enough anxiety here to break the camel's back.

oh, maui, i meant to respond to your karma remark... it's not "Broken". i just can't close all the smiting loopholes unless i disable both karma AND smite.. or allow both. i've explained why this is.. doesn't seem to matter though .
it is not against the CoC, and i have returned points that i've seen taken since you came to me about it. i'm not sure just what else you think i should be doing.

this is the one..
"treat everyone the same.......don't get 'chummy' with any one person or group, stay objective, and fix things on this board that are broken, like karma."
i was reading from my phone in bed before i got my lazy butt up... so i saw it but didn't respond at the time... as to the rest of it, i delete just as many obnoxious things the pack post as i do anyone one else.. they know it. yeah, i like to mess around with them in the break room sometimes - i should be able to have fun too, ya know..but don't read anything more into it than that.

I couldn't agree more!!! - It doesn't matter who the poster "really" is when the fact is their only purpose is to troll and cause chaos and trouble. Allowing this will only destroy the board. Fortunately I have Ignored the ones like this that are annoying me but occassionaly the ignore function doesn't work; for example when I log in from another computer.

moon- if you can't fix karma, then it is broken. if it is broken and can't be fixed, it should be thrown away.
why do you insist on keeping something that is broken and can't be fixed?

I may regret this later
Moon...if i may answer the last post
Just because the "karma" is broken, that doesnt mean that some posters dont like it
Have you ever seen a ride in a fair or a carnival that wasnt perfect....but it was still being used
It wasnt dangerous...and the patrons liked it.....so the owner kept it around
That is what karma is here....it is not dangerous....and some people really like seeing their numbers
I voted to get rid of it months ago....but majority ruled on board....and it stays....even if not perfect
Hope that answers your question

god- (and moon-) the analogy you stated is not the same, everyone would be entitled to the same use of the ride at the carnival.
karma can't be used by all posters fairly and due to it not being able to be fixed, so that it can be used fairly by all, then it should be discarded.
i hope my response did not give you regrets..........
fyi- i only defend when offended.

So, in your response
Because you "feel" that some are not treated as fair as others, that all must suffer for the few
There is an old saying my father taught me long ago
"in life, all things are not fair"
And since this board is owned by someone other than me, i can choose to partake with the understanding that everything cant always be fair, or i can go elsewhere for my entertainment
The choice is mine....and i get make my decision on a daily basis

not everyone can take karma away from others. some can and some can't. are you ok with that? everyone can give karma, but...............
and when things can be fair, things should be fair.........i hope your father taught you to be a man to stand up for what is fair for all.
god- it is not a feeling.......it is a fact.........ask moon- if you do not believe me.

Poster A has a skill. Poster B does not have that skill. Should Poster A be punished because of Poster B's inadequacies?

Virgil,
I started checking out the board about the time FTI made his first post. I think it was The End of the World post. I didn't participate, just read like I've done over here.
OK maybe maui1's posts aren't identical. I do remember him having a temper I don't see from maui1. I apologize for the false accusation. I'm not here to make trouble I just see the end of this board in sight and I don't want it to get there.
Moon,
I apologize to you for making a false accusation. I'm not trying to create trouble. I'm just trying to knock it down a notch
Maui1 came here this morning with two intentions. One, to get Frank mad and two, to create problems between Bruce and Frank. This at the start of a new day and he comes here with those intentions. That in itself should be a red flag that this person either has or will become a problem for this board.
Whether he gets banned or asked politely to calm the hell down I don't care but I really think something needs to be done.

and maui, i have returned all that i could prove were taken by looking at the logs. the person we discussed before has not smited you since he and i discussed it. a different person smited you one point which i also returned to you..
just because a couple people have been smited is no reason to the whole thing. i personally can't stand all the karma bs. but 99% of the rest LOVE it and so it stays.. you are going to have to learn to deal with it.

There are so many places to post "opinions" on the internet.....i CHOOSE to belong here....and abide by whatever rules the overseers set It is all about choice.....and my father taught me that some fights are WORTH fighting....and others not so much I put this in the second category

oh and maui, if i could guarantee that all factors -meaning computer, program and browser settings- were alike and things were still working one way for some and another for others, THEN i might agree that it's broken.
but i can't do that. no one can. therefore, as with the case of anything that has variables attached to it, "your results may vary".

and my father taught me that some fights are WORTH fighting
my father said "it is not the fight but the dog in the the fight that counts" everyone should be treated fairly, to the best of everyone's ability. i know that things happen that don't always allow for that, but that should be what EVERYONE strives for............if not, why do we live on this earth?.......what value do you REALLY have as a human being?

moon- with each defense of your "karma" you sound more and more like a defense attorney that is defending a killer that still has the victims blood all over them......not much conviction, but there will be one without a reasonable doubt.

That is for each individual to figure out
What do THEY consider important...and what do they think about each situation
I am smart enough to know that i dont know everything.....and wise enough to figure out which fights i want to fight, and which ones which are not worth my time and energy
Hopefully that applies to most of our posters on this board
And now i bow out.....

Interesting thing happens when you use the ignore button. I am not sure what maui's posts numbers are today or what he is saying. I can tell that the entire content has done nothing more than incite
