Lets put it this way,350 million plus are in this country. Now what kind of jobs do you have for the 350 million?
You say no factories. Then give us a idea how you are going to make things. Or do we just continue to rely on out of town goods and 350 million sit back at their desk and do the ordering.
Out of line Moon? What is out of line is that the house is coming due for more dispersment of casino chips and not a darn thing has been resolved. Well the Pres. golf game may have improved.
Oh and Moon,I see that I am continued to be called Decay and that is not insult correct?

decoy, i have told various people many times that that needs to stop..
seems like the only way to make that happen is to just shut this board off or something..

The new factories wont look anything like the old factories....technology.
And we have a severe shortage of skilled workers in this country.
Undereducated.
There are a lot of dumb college educated people.

It's reasons for these that there is conflict.
USA states above as noted: 'Yes reopen the factories.
We want our children working shoulder to shoulder in factories making widgets.
Wrong!!!!!!!!!!!
Get a good education and you will be fine. College educated unemployment is 4%
The days of working in factories IS OVER!!!' (end)
So USA what does the remaining 96% of the people here in America do? Are you going to be covering the expense of 320 million people? Becouse 4% of employed college educated and no work for the rest does not make out a very good picture at all. So you understand very little if any at all because this is a game of numbers, and all numbers are 'included' in the math.
Furthermore your last entry has no credibility or bearing on the debate here as to 'US EMPLOYMENT.' So if you are unable to defend your position simply do not post in reference to one.

It means 96% of people who are college educated have jobs.
I cant even give you a hard time about this because I cant believe you can not comprehend what I wrote.
Take a minute and re read it.

I can give you a hard time becouse you have no idea what you are even writing. Quote: June 28,2011 - 'In fact, a recent survey of last year's college graduates found that 80 percent moved right back home with their parents after graduation. That was up substantially from 63 percent in 2006.' (end of quote) So your 4%? Where in the heck did you here that ridiculous statement from? It’s A Great Time To Be A New College Graduate: High Unemployment, Crappy Service Jobs And Crippling Student Loan Debt theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/its-a-great-time-to-be-a-new-college-graduate-high-unemployment-crappy-service-jobs-and-crippling-student-loan-debtEarlier today you claim you took information from one of my articles I posted. You did? No you did not. You went off on Chi town and I never mentioned Chi town until after I posted the numbers. The ones you called do great, From my last entry in 'The DECOY 409 POST' Today's Post Headlines Start #2062 I was running over the figures and al I could see was mild to say the least, June 2011 the CHICAGO Report Institute for Supply Management – Chicago CHICAGO BUSINESS BAROMETER™ REBOUNDED www.ism-chicago.org/chapters/ism-ismchicago/files/ISM-CJune2011.pdfKeep your words and stories correct and there is no friction. But when you don't,then we will have to correct.

10/4! Now if we can get USA to explain that 4% in debate of answering USA in #55,then we have really accomplished something.

Wall Mart should die a horrible death....Just because they sell the stuff at Wall mart and Home Depot does not make you a skilled tradesman...last I heard ..you need a masters degree to be a master electrician. I see it day in ..day out...Skilled trades people are just that..skilled! The rest are wanna bees....From the statements made..I don't think you guys understand the level of skill required to call yourself a pro. You can teach golf and as a student..never learn it!

It wasn't brought back and allowed to recover, it was brought back under massive control and railed to fail for a "I told you so" reaction. Technology used to ASSIST age-old craft and manufacturing may be far-more likely to recover us. The average performance of a LG refrigerator is under 15 months. How can you tell? Follow the Craig's List postings for "New Needs Repair". They are selling shoddy products and third-party warranties, not goods people can believe in. Target marketed technology is a racket. Observe the landscaping (grass cutter) industry. 30 & 40 somethings are paying to have it down by a crew. That suggests that they do NOTHING relative to repairs and maintenance around the house. In a decade, a Plumber will out-earn a doctor (you can live with pain but not a flushing toilet). No degree needed. 100% of existing home Electrical Wiring will be out-dated in 20 years. The whole shift to paper-pushing and button-pressing is a failure. Tomorrow's jobs are hard-core labor.

USA here has a bad habit of non-support for the latest figures from BLS. I have posted the latest and USA has decided to be trapped with the OLD figures. 'UNEMPLOYMENT RATES / CURRENT FIGURES (Unadjusted since tally) Some college or associate degree.. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 8.3 7.4 7.5 8.0 0.5 Bachelor’s degree and higher.. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 4.6 4.4 4.5 4.5 0.0 after you review that SEE "Reason For Unemployment' / 'Duration Of Employment' and I will give it to you on the percentage as you say about those that have a Bachelors degree. www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/empsit.pdfThat's a whole lot of 'Chief' jobs needed. 200,00 a month and up in the 4th?' Furthermore there is no debate as USA is unable to use current reports and has decided to go off of the old ones. So as you have decided to bait you will not trap as your information being applied is OLD NEWS and therefore has no bearing on the current.

I've been asked to look at this thread an offer an opinion on the jobs percent of unemployed. Using the link supplied by Decoy, which is the latest data from the BLS, .......
May 2011 Unemployment rate for those 25 years of age and older: Less than a high school diploma is 14.7% High school graduates, no college is 9.5% Some college or associate degree is 8.0% Bachelor’s degree and higher is 4.5%.
I think poster "usaone" stated 4% for college educated and the actual is 4.5% (close enough for me)
The data clearly shows those with higher education levels have lower unemployment levels.

My points are below is stated 4% period. If we want a true view then we can not include 'all' in 4%. Furthermore USA claims 200,000 jobs added each month (which is not happening) and according to the BLS report, after you review that SEE 'Reason For Unemployment' / 'Duration Of Employment' In which the jobs are not sustaining long term employment.but part time or temperary employment. And how are we going to create 200,000 bachelor degree jobs per month? What? Carpentry, roofing, road work, etc are certainly in the 200,000 and there will simply have to be a whole lot more than bachelor jobs for the people. After all,how do you afford service from other sectors if you are unemployed? And how do other sectors hold up with high unemployment and no revenue to generate them? And from USA #39, 'Yes reopen the factories. We want our children working shoulder to shoulder in factories making widgets. Wrong!!!!!!!!!!! Get a good education and you will be fine. College educated unemployment is 4% The days of working in factories IS OVER!!! (end) and at the end of the day we have, It’s A Great Time To Be A New College Graduate: High Unemployment, Crappy Service Jobs And Crippling Student Loan Debt theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archi....udent-loan-debt

It is the same old tired argument, from those that want us to return to the 1940's era.
When high school education's were enough to get a fair wage blue collar jobs....and rub elbows with your friends on the assembly line
The factories are gone....and unless you want to pay 3-5x what you pay now....they will not be coming back (except the specialized ones, where you need skills to manage and work the machines)
Skills pay the bills....electrician, plumber, mechanic....all make decent wages....and you can look in any paper, and find job listings for ASE certified mechanics
Degrees in crap are worth crap.....and if parents and children decided that French literature was the way to go for their 80k education, then they can pay the price for their BAD decisions
Degrees in pharmacology, nursing, engineering, mathematics, accounting....and many, many others pay the bills, and then some
Starting wages for good degrees are 60k plus. Higher in some fields......
It is about personal decisions.....and if you WANT to be a teacher, or sociology major, or some other field that pays crap for their degrees, then go for it, but dont be surprised later when things are tough trying to raise a family in a HCOL area.
Educations are worth the money.....if you are willing to put in the work to get the degree's that matter
