As long as we are quoting Mr. Clemens... "The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated." Mark Twain Only day 1 has passed... there is four more days for horses to slip and fall or get a second wind.
Oh drat, SBS must have become irate at my last post and kicked me off the bottom rung. No fair, that spot is supposed to be reserved for me, weekly, Have to apply a spanking for stealing my rung on the ladder.
SBS, yes, I have almost full confidence you will get out of there and let me have the bottom rung by Friday close. Leave me to my destiny for fooling around with those China stocks. I am trying to prove a point, so get out of the way down there. Rovo is just giving you a modest grope, so you get the idea to move on up.
For what it's worth, I sold EDZ today from the real-money port. Emerging markets like China may have a bit of a safe-haven aura about them that keeps them from moving as radically as more plain vanilla US indices do. Today was an exception, it moved more and I took advantage of that to sell it.

It certainly has been an interesting race so far this week. Lot of movement, and now we pass the last turn and head into the home stretch. Friday will be a wild one, so let's have some good jockeying. Arch has 1st fairly well locked up so place and show are up for grabs. Will it be a nose job or a ful length P.S., may toss out a dozen banana peels if I get even with yclept to slow his horse near the line (I know, dirty trick)

Fellow market-teers, I should feel great about this week's race... hope the "flight surgeon" doesn't ground me. I've had a terrible head cold for about 2 days. Logging time in bed. I think what caused it: The frigid, sub zero, cold breezes coming off of those golf clubs Tuesday afternoon... We expect that this time of year here in SE Texas..... now about the market; we have all seen many Fridays. Years ago, I quit trying to predict what many stocks will do on Fridays.
architecto25 strolls across the finish line with a 10 length lead over second place yclept. Value Buy comes in with a very respectable third place finish. Meanwhile, rovo and jarhead are wandering around looking for the other horses.

after the race, someone heard ONTY say this: "The reason I finished in the lead...I've been running 3 days with this crazy jockey on me...and he's had a bad head cold for three days.... I wanted him off. Now where's that Nurse ?" Good race, you'all.......
