Well.. they had better keep their whips waxed and ready, because morale is not going to improve until things change. Yeah, CHANGE. Like hopey, changey, but NOT.

The Obama economic policy in a nutshell. As is being discussed right now..CNN..for the most part , businesses are back to where they are , however they are doing it with 7 million less worker then they did before the recession and I wonder how you over come that..they , private business, industries, just don't need as many workers, and no POTUS has the power to order private businesses to hire or else. IMHO. If you don't have private spending some say then the government has to spend...others naturally say no, go back to Reagan plan, get inflation down... others say it, " Reagan " not going to happen...don't expect big things, think small ball..as another said that's why we have elections, these debates.. The debates will be the economy... Obama worries from some...the senior Bush scenario, economy and Jobs still where it is..good bye Mr,. President... all things on Americans minds...money, budget, jobs..debt...not terrorist Economy stupid is the whole thing...and if we are still at 9 % unemployment , he's in trouble..get below 8 1/2 % another story..plus budget cuts...continuing improvement in economy...

Does anyone feel as worried as I do? So-- businesses have streamlined, to adapt to the new economy. We have one person doing 3 people's jobs.. Unless something huge happens, why should businesses change that? Does the whole abortion, rationing healthcare, etc, even occur to people? IF this is how things are going to be-- then we have too many people, correct?? No one wants to TOUCH the illegals issue because they are wimps... so.. how do we change this problem?? Kill people before they are born, kill them when they get sick.. just kill them. Right? Start a few more wars, draft more kids to get killed... wipe out whole countries, kill as many as we can.. global food.. yeah right.. we used to have out own food, now we import food... and export food.. we are screwed..

Very worried, krickitt. From what I'm hearing it's going to come down fast. Hope not but won't be surprised. It isn't even subtle anymore. Like your music.

No, educated people will find jobs. The high unemployment rates are those with less education or marketable skills. The unempyment rate for college graduates is around 4.5%. Why to you think employers that are hiring are only looking at people that are currently employed for applicants? Companies know the first 10% to be laid off are underperformers, overpaid, old, unhealthy, non-conformers or uneducated. If housing constructions picks up again, we will see about 1.5 million more jobs, but that will be several years.

Obama needs to go. He should have cut spending on the poor and he didn't when we had a recession. Everyone knows that the best way to get out of arecession is to give tax cuts to the rich. Impeach him already!

SO-- what's the plan?? Get everybody highly educated and deeply in debt for student loans, so they can stand in the unemployment line with an education??? The jobs are not there...

If you surround yourself with undereducated people does that make you superior? I prefer to surround myself with good people educated or not.

It is a matter of who pays. For too long the rich have been paying for the education of the middle class. It has to stop.

Lunatic says "Well, I advocate for the rich. That's my right. Like Sarah Palin, I am standing up for my right. We have been helping the poor and the middle class for way to long. Stop it already."... Lunatic also states that, "I am completely reasonable and hence I want all social services cut to the bone. This is not because I am greedy. This is because I simply don't want to pay for the poor and the middle class. If the poor and the middle class band together and get their own social security apparatus out of their own taxes I am perfectly fine with that. But not with MY tax dollars." ........... My reply, is "The rich do not need advocates for one thing. I would bet money that everyone on here contributes to the poor or disabled in some other form besides their tax contributions. Because its the right thing to do. I am also 100% sure everyone would love to get "THE MAN" out of Their pockets and stop the over regulation of small business. One other point is Corporations, Large farms , and Big Banks get a much larger portion of those entitlement dollars. While keeping their income out of the country avoiding those very taxes the middle class and poor pay......... Lunatic I posted this response to you on the china says US is defaulting on its debt thread. I think the same answer apply here. Respects

Jarhead, I made most of my money from employment with one big corporation. I have to stand up to defend big corporations here.

Does anyone feel as worried as I do? ..... I see the same things that you see. We seem to disagree with how this came about. I trace it back to the late seventies when the world economy was changing. The choice of "supply side economics" has lead us to where we are today.

Entitlements extend to all walks of life. From every class, rich and poor. Its government way to control the populace. Who would risk biting the hand that feeds them? Corporations are no different than someone on welfare. It all needs to end. Charity starts at home. We need to change Government, that is where the real entitlements are. I have worked as long as I can remember. I throw one leg out of bed in the morning and hope the other one follows.

All they do is pay taxes to provide entitlements for the poor and the middle class. Do you think Bill Gates is going to depend on Medicare, or send his kids to public school? Gut both already.

If one person can do it, it's not 3 people's job, it's just three people being paid to do one job. Progress comes from increased efficiency. The reason it hurts [progress that is] is that people insist on hanging on to outdated technology until it destroys the very jobs that people insist on hanging on to. It's the law of nature; adapt or die. Change,as we know, is scary, so we tend to hang on to what we know [Better the devil we know than the devil we don't know.] rather than learn something new. We change when we have to and, when all is said and done, are better for it so ~ Why is it that we resist it so?

Sorry, after 30 years of Voodoo, the rich and corporatons and banks have money coming out of their ears. Cutting taxes on them further is Pub tax cult idiocy. Even in 1983, it was tax rises that triggered the recovery. Thanks for the depression, the fraud, and now the 24/7/365 gloom and doom, fear mongering, hoarding, and paralysis, Pubs. Anything to get back in power and screw us AGAIN...
