So what the CIA deals and communicates and develops contacts with other spies and peoples in those governments all the time. This type of relationship gives access to info that could not be garnered any other way. Just part of intellegence gathering. The only problem would be if Panetta had been passing on vitial info on the US which I seriously doubt. It was no secret that Panetta was this guys friend. We even have undercover associations with radical groups in this country by police forces.

# 1 - Worth looking into though. Bad enough the agencies are infiltrated with jihadists. Support for Communist regimes too? I remember how slobberingly giddy Obama was to meet Chavez.
