Its not what he did, the "sexting" Its the fact that he stood there and for several days, denied, denied, denied.. And even blamed another person for hacking into his account. He lied. It is being investigated whether he used Government computers/equipt in doing this. He needs to resign... The Dems have a black eye on their face and in order to save it, they need to stand up and do the right thing, request his resignation, no, demand it. I think I can speak for many Americans, we are sick and tired of Washington, Both Dems and Republicans doing everything but the will of the People and the work they were elected to do in the first place. Have they no shame? Oaths and Vows mean nothing anymore, do they..

This is what is really repugnant about his behavior. The fact that he's a cheating slimeball is not the major issue (except for his wife, probably). What is more disturbing is that he would have been perfectly content to destroy the life and career of an innocent person (Breitbart) in order to cover his own tracks. Also, once the "hacker" story broke and was dutifully swallowed without question by the lame stream media, the FBI spent time and resources investigating a possible terrorist threat of "hackers" accessing the information of high-level politicians. At a minimum, Weiner owes the country the costs of these investigations since they were brought about 100% due to his willful lies...

Last night on MSNBC Ed Schultz, Chris Matthews, and Rachel Maddow all said they stand behind Weiner and are pissed off that more Democrats do not do the same...
Well I am a Democrat and for some reason just cannot get myself to stand behind Weiner or stand in front of him either...So with all due respect to Mr Schultz and Matthews and the lovely Ms Maddow I think Weiner should resign...he screwed up big time and if he does not Mr Breitbart will hit him again with another photo in his birthday suit...and that will be another a mess because all the Dems have to return his campaign money he gave them..

It's an interesting question: Can a representative of the people serve honorably while slandering a private citizen? That alone is enough to compel the House to expel him-- which they can do.

In other words, if he won't go-- the House needs to act. According to my unreliable sources the ball is now in Ms Pelosi's court and she has been confering with her Dem caucus and getting advice from the Ethics Committee ...the rub is did Weiner use government computers, cell phones or IPads to show off his weenie wiener?? If he did she may have a problem, I think??

The fact is this cannot stand. We had a member of the United States House of Representatives slander a private citizen to cover his ass. That's the whole issue right now. He has to go. And he will go-- on or before the 15th of June.

Ms Pelosi is on the job and she will render her decision whether Weiner goes or stays so please give the #1 Lady Of The House some time to work through this mess.

Men are interesting creatures. Thinking with one's "little head" is not a new phenomenon. The real question for voters is that if his wife can't trust him, and if he can lie so convincingly to the public as he did-- can he be trusted? I'd take it as a near universal truth that somebody caught cheating will lie about it. Right there tells me their word isn't worth the air used to push them out of their mouth (pretty much describes all politicians). Neither cheating or lying about it (except under oath) are illegal. Both are immoral and unethical IMHO, but not illegal.

And furthermore, I hope Weiner loses and is again publicly disgraced for targeting a private citizen with intentional slander in an effort to cover up his own misdeeds...

"You keep calling Breitbart a "well known liar" as if saying it over and over again will make it so. Hell, maybe it IS so- he used to be a big liberal. " Yup- then he got bought off by the RW soak the misled industry Maybe he is considered that because of the Sherrod fiasco. Basically, he got up to that podium and threatened that he would further expose Weiner (via more pictures) if Weiner came after him. It seems a lot of people like to have their 15 minutes.

Truthfully, I haven't kept up with all that's going on with this since I still think it was between him and his wife and none of my business. Now it appears it's between him, his wife and his "ladies". Jumping from the frying pan straight in to the fire is usually not a wise move...

At issue is whether it is possible to consider as serving honorably a member of the United States House of Representatives that SLANDERED a PRIVATE CITIZEN to cover his own arse. Remember, he didn't merely lie. He BLAMED someone else-- BY NAME. Now, maybe you have never been in a situation where it's your word against a sitting member of Congress- but that's pretty serious. Now that we know a private citizen has been slandered by this man, he has to go. He cannot possibly be seen as an honorably serving member after so aggregious a violation of the trust placed in him by We The People as slandering one of the people.

Well truthfully, sex, no sex, internet relationships, his marriage and sexting aren't at issue. At issue is the use of the power and credibility of his word as an The Honorable Representative, Anthony Weiner, United States House of Representatives to SLANDER a private citizen.

I hope the House ejects his arse. One of the reasons he doesn't have the stuff to remain in the House is that he lacks the character and integrity to resign.

CNN Just announce there are nude photos of Weiner floating around on Utube videos and that it is only a matter of time and Weiner will be asked to resign from congress.....apparently the Dems are avoiding him and want this mess to go away
Breitbart says he didn't release the photos that were sent by a girl who had contact with Weiner on twitter

Breitbart said he is not going to release the XX pic, BUT did insinuate that Wenieman should not go the route of trashing the women... Interesting... At least the wife is off globe trotting with Hil, as usual. New rumor that she is PG. I expect that one to die.... we'll see. I guess she got citizenship by marrying the hound, correct?

No, no, krickitt, she's actually US-born. It appears she actually is pregnant, as well. Very sad for her and the baby ("fetus", if you're a liberal, so it doesn't count). Just sayin...

I think Pelosi will ask for his resignation but the people in his district are not sure...And the picture of his weenie is out there now and he cannot deny it is his weenie
This is a human tragedy for his wife and a political tragedy for the Dems...

So to you, the only reason a congressman should resign is because they slander someone, but not because they used tax dollars (via tax funded income) to pay hookers for sex? (lets not forget the diaper fiasco) Your blind allegiance is something else.

I checked and it appears that the solicitation of prostitutes is illegal in Louisiana. Is that not enough for you to think that Vitter should have resigned eddie? Since you dont seem to care that he was married and paid hookers to diaper him and provide sexual services to him.

He should be out too...if he actually used tax dollars (or are you saying his entire salary is tax dollars? That's a tough call). I do think Weiner should repay the cost of the FBI investigation into "hackers" his lies elicited...

I totally think his lying and accusing a "hacker" of sending his photos, is cause for him to step down. Vitter should never have remained in office either.
