With the nuclear threat coming from Iran, Israel is ready to send a message . Any Idea to what the reply might be from the Muslim world?

Israel minister: Strike on Iran could be necessary The Associated Press MOSCOW -- An Israeli Cabinet minister said the civilized world must take joint action to avert the Iranian nuclear threat, including a pre-emptive strike if necessary. Moshe Yaalon - the minister for strategic affairs - made the statement in an interview with Russia's Interfax news agency released Monday ahead of a visit to Moscow. "We strongly hope that the entire civilized world will come to realize what threat this regime is posing and take joint action to avert the nuclear threat posed by Iran, even if it would be necessary to conduct a pre-emptive strike," Yaalon was quoted by Interfax as saying. Yaalon wouldn't discuss who might deal the strike, saying the entire world, not just Israel, must be concerned about the danger posed by a nuclear-armed Iran. "An Iran possessing nuclear weapons would be a threat to the entire civilized world," he was reported as saying. Yaalon's spokesman Ofer Harel told The Associated Press later Monday that the minister was repeating Israel's position that all options are on the table and not calling for anybody to attack Iran. Iran has insisted its nuclear program is peaceful, but the U.S., Israel and many others believe it is cover for developing atomic weapons. With the nuclear threat coming from Iran, Israel is ready to send a message . ------------------------------------------- Any Idea to what the reply might be from the Muslim world? Ok , see the link now. I haven't seen anything like that type of immediate scenario in the media threads I peruse, naturally it won't make the front page if being contemplated, and one of the weapons wanted by the Israeli Military from us, and so far refused by us, are those secret deep penetrating smart bombs, bunker busters. Possible the Israelis have developed one and tested it, but I believe it was a necessary needed equation to solve that problem. I did come across a article that was from the Iranian side, a diss on the government actually, that this preoccupation of nuclear weapon, they added up the possible enriched uranium, the next step in development and refining, using all their centrifuges, take at least six months to get to the stage where it would have to be done again, and once more and the testing, the trigger, so possible a year and a half and they end up with one weapon, against a foe who supposedly has many and many and many..so where are you. Better to not have any, their feeling, then no way one can be used against you and you can perform all the mischief you want knowing the ultimate against you, not going to happen. But if you do have one or two, and are seemed to be a threat, a real one, then all bets off and condemnation against one taking protective action , well semi loud, muted and then forgotten.

Fine, and let Israel live with the consequences. BTW, we need to stop that $3 billion plus in yearly foreign aid.
Also, I suggest relocating Israel to California and let the Palestinians have their land back. After all, California will soon have a similar climate.

War. God bless Israel. This should have been done a few years ago instead of wimping around with sanctions against Iran. Some say it is even too late now to safely bomb the nuke sites. I have complete faith that Netanyahu will do the right thing to protect his country. And now that Egypt has opened the Gaza entry things could get real ugly real quick. www.foxnews.com/world/2011/05/28/egypt-permanently-opens-gaza-border-crossing/Not that they already aren't. Forces are thickening around Israel. I worry what Obama will do if something bad happens if there is a multi-front attack on Israel.

Financial mess California is in, these Jews are supposed to be very sharp folks, what kind of deal is that?? North Carolina seems nice, always liked that State, but good bargainers, I think both North and South, you might have a deal. Possible dismantle the old city, the walls, 'The Wall " naturally, take it with them, leave the Dome, like "London Bridge " to the desert ..You might have something.

Reports today from Al Jazeera of western boots on the ground-- possibly Brits, he said.. Who even knows what's up with that, but it violates the NATO agreement..
I do wonder why Israel would say this ahead of time, though. You military guys-- any idea what that could mean?

Yeah, it is Libya. OOPS, I didn't say where!!! ...not to worry... despite all the gaffes and such, on or off the board today, I think today's biggest OOPS is Google not doing a logo tweak... I think they skipped Flag Day, too... I'll have to google that to find out... or maybe use a different search engine for that, huh?

I thought the US should have erased the Iranian leadership years ago-- starting about 10 minutes after we got our hostages back.

The war mongering Israelis just can't wait to start another fight. Let's not support them this time and see what happens. They have to learn to get along with their neighbors. The US does not belong in this area of the world.

The US does not belong in this area of the world. "The US does not belong in this area of the world" mmmm, all that oil, we use over 25 % of it....and we are 3 % of the worlds population , plus trade, mmmm, think so..ok , hope you don't mind but think I'll disagree with you on this one. "They have to learn to get along with their neighbors." They are trying, and trying ..and every time they bring over a casserole or a fresh baked cake..the door seems to be slammed in their face, or if accepted, the one who they visited , makes them sit out side with the coffee and , never allowed to come in and be really welcome in the visited home, but they keep bringing over those refreshments, never ever anything back by anyone by the way, just more dissing, constantly, ...maybe some day...allowed inside, till then....always a big stick in the back pocket when they bring over the refreshments, just in case. To bad but it is what it is....

Dezi, I forgot how much oil we get from Israel. Personally, I would be inclined to support their oil rich neighbors. We do not have to be involved in this part of the world to buy their oil.
I don't want you knocking on the door. Everytime you come over, you try to steal or bomb something. Keep Out!

It would be nice , I don't think so..have a very good site on Iran if your interested in it, it is not a government site but gives you very up to date with the happenings in the country, politics, the abuses , what is going on, if interested will be glad to post it, one of the better ones.

Iran cleric: Killing Israeli children OK
Iranian Ayatollah endorses evil: Radical religious cleric known as President Ahmadinejad's spiritual mentor says attacks on Israeli civilians permissible, suicide bombings a Muslim duty
Dudi Cohen Published: 05.31.11, 02:09 / Israel News
Evil words in Islamic Republic: A senior Iranian cleric, who is known as President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's spiritual mentor, urged followers to continue suicide attacks against Israelis, including children.
Ayatollah Mohammad Taghi Mesbah, considered one of the Islamic Republic's most radical clerics, issued a religious edict on his website whereby suicide attacks are not only legitimate but are a must for every Muslim, a special paper by the Middle East Media Research Institute shows.

The senior cleric was responding to a question from a follower regarding the difference between "martyr's death" and "suicide." The man, who wrote anonymously, noted that "some people say that martyrdom operations are considered suicide and that they are haram (forbidden) because they contradict Islam."

Sure they condone killing Israeli children. Thread on page one right now about them killing their OWN children by torture, as well as the many we have posted about little kids being trained to be terrorists..... These people are insane. Actually the thread you are referring to , it's the security forces of Assad , the ruler of Syria , some of the populace are in revolt against him, picked the boy up[arrested him, and others] as he was demonstrating against the continuous of the regime, they tortured and murdered the boy. It was not about Muslims murdering children. It was about security forces arresting and murdering, torturing and mutilating insurgents , returning the bodies to the families so the word would get around to intimidate the populace to stop marching, stop demonstrating. That Syria is a Muslim country, it would be assumed by most reasonable people, some very bad, evil people picked up demonstrators , arrested them and then tortured , beat, mutilated some and killed many, including 13 year old boy and the evil ones who did this, one can assume that being a predominate Muslim country the murders if religious were probably Muslims.
