What kind of radical left wing parents let their kid challenge a presidential candidate to a debate, any way?? The same exact kind that would be in a group that would infiltrate Tea Party websites.... which is no more far-fetched than this..... Someone threatened a kid??? Well, first, shame on her parents for not protecting her, second, find the bad guys and lock them up. Simple. I'll wait for Lak's report that Tea Party members have been arrested........

Just the facts:
The indisputable facts concerning the article / posting are these:
1. The article did not establish that any posts were made at all.
2. The article did not establish WHO, if anyone, made such posts.
3. The article cited not one alleged "TEA Party" website, nor
4. Did the article offer a single example post.
Some people will argue with me, but until you can fulfill ANY of the items above, you have no argument. Obviously, someone who supports Rep. Bachmann MAY be mentally unstable enough to make such posts; but equally as obvious, the allegations are potentially politically damaging to Rep. Bachmann. Given there is not one shred of evidence that anything alleged actually happened, I'll leave it to objective, intelligent readers to draw their own conclusions as to the real story

How are you so sure that the parents are left-wing? Maybe they encourage their kids to not accept the status quo and point out inaccuracies in statements. However, I guess the kid, who is supposedly active in her school government and probably took civics classes more recently than the person she wanted to debate, took issue with the misstatements regarding the Constitution that the candidate swore to uphold. Personally, I think a letter may have done the trick. Like it or not, children do pay attention to politics and those that start out in student government are full of ideals and possibly want to serve in government. That type of involvement should be applauded becuase like it or not, us older people will be under the whim of the younger generation that are elected to office as we age.

Find me the links to these online remarks, Lakhota. All I see is hearsay, no facts in any of the articles you've posted.

First of all, I ain't your research assistant. Find your own links. I understand why you wish to disbelieve/discredit this story. However, I happen to believe the girl and her father. I can't imagine that they would fabricate such a story and bring so much wingnut wrath down upon them.

I'd still like to see the young lady have a chance to debate the GOP darling. Palin would never agree to do it but it would be fun to watch.
As for the Gifford shooting, the only ones I've ever blamed are: a) the shooter and b) anyone who defends the ability to purchase a 30 round clip at a gun show. A standard clip would have force the shooter to reload earlier possibly saving lives.

Meet Amy Myers, the teen who challenged Michele Bachmann to a debateSince we wrote about the high school sophomore who is challenging Michele Bachmann to a debate, news of the youngster's gutsy move has been burning up the internet. It seems the idea of the factually-challenged congresswoman getting publicly schooled in civics and U.S. history by a child gratifies a deep, unspoken national yearning. But just who is Bachmann's challenger? City Pages talked to her after school last week to find out. Amy Myers is a 16-year-old sophomore at Cherry Hill High School East in New Jersey, where she writes for the school newspaper. She loves All the President's Men, and credits it with deepening her interest in politics. Her frustration with Bachmann boiled over when the Representative claimed the battles of Lexington and Concord took place in New Hampshire, rather than in Massachusetts. "When she said that, we were just learning about that moment in my AP History class," Myers says. "She was just wrong. They're totally different regions." Myers says she has nothing personal against Bachmann -- she just thinks her ceaseless stream of gaffes and inaccurate statements are an embarrassment to all women with political ambitions. "It took until the 19th amendment for women to be able to vote, and now it seems like the most famous women in politics are kind of jokes," Myers says. "You've got Christine O'Donnell, who's best known for her reputation as being a witch, then Sarah Palin, and the controversy with her and the shooting in Arizona, and then you've got Bachmann." Bachmann may not realize it, Myers says, but her reputation as a truth-mangler makes it harder for young women to be taken seriously in politics. "It seems like at school there's always a separation between what people think men can do and what women can do," Myers says. "If a girl says she wants to go into politics, people say 'Oh yeah, like Michele Bachmann?'" That's why Myers wants a public debate and history quiz. "I want to show that women still have independent thoughts," she says. "I want people to understand that any person can be strong." Myers is interested in a career in politics herself. "But I'm also thinking of becoming an equine veterinarian," she says. "I have horses, and I just love them. I'm really interested in their anatomy and their skeletal structure." The letter challenging Bachmann to debate. And Myers isn't waiting to throw her hat in the ring. She's currently running for president of her high school class. She'll deliver her campaign speech on Wednesday. The election is May 24. In the meantime, weeks after she sent the debate challenge to Bachmann's office, she still hasn't heard back from the Representative. But she won't let Bachmann pretend she didn't receive it. "I know she got it," Myers says. "I sent it with receipt confirmation so she couldn't say she didn't." blogs.citypages.com/blotter/2011/05/amy_myers_michele_bachmann_debate_interview.php#comments

Maybe Amy should challenge Nancy Pelosi. I mean, Nancy is a picture of all that is RIGHT about women in politics, correct?? Maybe a debate on Obamacare?? Ask her to explain it, the way it was passed, the constitutionality of it.. Wouldn't that be a far better debate for Amy since she is so superior to Michelle Bachmann? But Mommy probably would not allow that.

A union mans kind words for a 14 year old young lady at a rally in Wisconsin.
There are fools on either side of the fence.

Yes there are fools on either side but at least he didn't threaten violence which is a wee bit (ok way way) different and serious. All those that do not believe the girl was threatened it is under investigation and the high school reported mail and email sent to them that was threatening and turned it in.

Have anything from unbiased sources? What next - wikipedia is always accurate?
I guess Olberman and Maddow have their sheep believing the site is valid.

Let her extend this challenge to all the members of congress and see if she gets any takers.
